I am trying to come up with what to put in the box for customers as marketing material.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Here's a couple of ideas for you...

    > Since you sell leather goods, you could include fliers/coupons for some kind of oil or other product useful in caring for their new purchase.

    > Are there accessories they might have missed? For example, if someone buys customized seat covers, might they also be interested in a matching steering wheel cover or shift knob/cover?

    > You could also send them "reading lists" with subscription offers from related magazines (I think magazines.com still has an affiliate program, or else there's always Amazon). Since it's an add-on sale with almost free promotion, anything you make is a plus.

    > Are there related, but non-competitive sellers who will pay you to promote by including their flier in with the packaging? Seems like most of the bills in my box are padded out to the fraction of an ounce with fliers for other businesses. For example, my car insurance statements usually have fliers for services like Carfax or one of the car-buying services or one of the franchise/chain car repair/oil change/auto parts companies.

    That should get you started.

You might want to include a thank you note to your customer, with a coupon code for a discount on their next purchase. Repeat buyers are where your profits come from! Encourage each first time customer to return.

You are right on with this, a thank you note,

And a coupon for say 10% off there next purchase is a great way to get repeat customers.

Plus, and I know that is may not be possible, but, if you have some small gift you can "include" in the box--that would be good also.
