Do you have Staff, Virtual Staff... Please contribute!

Dear Warriors,

I have managed in-house on-site staff...but I am looking to expand and hire some off-site
staff/virtual workers...who work from their own home....

Please remember i am talking about full-time staff/employee hired for a monthly fixed pay...
i.e. they are paid on time basis and not for per work done basis as in freelancing...

Have you any of staff like this, what has been your experience so far...how do you manage
them, communicate with them..keep them busy and get best results for both of you, your business and your employee...

So far my biggest concern is how to keep track of what they are doing..and that how
to make sure that they work on recurring tasks they are assigned like simple Website promotion tasks (Social bookmarking, commenting, link building...)


Please share your tips and advice in this regard..

I use basecamphq for that - full time staff on a fixed payment per month - progress is reported, tasks assigned, milestones etc. so you know if they aren't working for you as you expected pretty quickly...

Thank you for your advice.. Wow it is almost everything there.. What does it cost to use
this service for about 10-20 people? Also is this only service/tool you use to manage your
staff or anything in combination you use...
