Have Start-Up Capital, Intersted in Recomendations....

I have been in a sales role in the online media world for a while so I have a good understanding of IM from the seller's side. However, like most noobs, I am not sure what is the best way to get started with IM from a money making, entrepreneurial angle.

I am not a huge fan of writing so promoting offers through blogs or article marketing doesn't interest me much. I have dabbled with a few affiliate stores and ecommerce, but I did not have any luck generating income.

Any advice on some good ways to get started with affiliate marketing, lead gen or ecommerce? I have been sitting on a lot of cash from a dot-com buyout a while back so start up money is really not an obstacle...I am very lucky in that aspect. Any advice from all of you experienced Internet Marketers would be greatly appreciated!

I sure hope you don't get stumped with "investment"
opportunities now that we all know you are "sitting
    on a lot of cash",

But seriously, I will advise you to first "look around"
yourself. There are a ton of opportunities here and
in the WSO section. It's better that you are the one
looking for such opportunities, rather than the
opportunities looking for you; this way, you don't
get "parted" with your money easily,

You say that you are not a fan of writting. But you don't have to as you can always outsource that part of the business to the likes of elance. You are in the fortunate position that you have some money behind you so can afford to pay for help.

My word of advice is to pick ONE THING and stick with it. If it's building an ecommerce property, then do that. If it's launching a product, only do the one product.

All your investment capital can go down the drain VERY QUICKLY if you don't have a specific plan to use that capital and get a good return on it.

Having said that, most people would probably agree that creating your own products is one of the best avenues to go. Outsource writing, design and creation and use your knowledge of marketing that you mentioned to "put the bow" on the project. If you "niche the niche", you should be able to roll out several mini-products and have a nice ROI on your investment (which I would mostly use for advertising/marketing anyway).

I would recommend finding a mentor that will teach you to promote using free traffic. Sell either your own product, an affiliate product, CPA, etc. Do that until you feel seasoned and are earning much more than you spend. Keep as much of your money as possible, for you are the sheep among wolves!

I was a sheep, now I am broke. The IM Gurus are rich. The Gurus are really not wolves. Wolves respect the environment and take only what the need. The Gurus will stomp on us for our last penny.

Outsource products creation and submit those products to clickbank.

Advertise heavily at the time of launch of the products.

In the WSO section you will find many writers to turn out ebooks for you with salespages.

Spread them all about the different networks like Clickbank, Click2Sell.eu (they charge no fee to join), get loads of affiliates selling for you!

If you can afford the advertising in magazines (print), then sell off the page in National Enquirer and other weeklies.
