What are some ways you generate leads?

Here are 2 ways I generate leads for myself and clients:

1. PPC to an page with an opt-in box. On this page they can usually sign up to get a free report, but nowadays I'm giving away a free video. They are cheap and fast to do and can have high perceived value. I use pay-per-click advertising because I can test fast. I can have an ad up and running today, bringing traffic and seeing how many signups I'm getting.

2. Article marketing. In the Resource box at the end of my articles, I make an offer for a valuable downloadable. "Value" has to do with what the reader is interested in. The great thing about articles is that once you submit them to the various article directories, they keep getting picked up and reprinted if they are good. That brings visitors from the articles and boosts search engine rankings which brings more visitors. You get a lot of mileage out of them.

I want to point out that in both of these I offer something that people want for free. That's the key for me.

PPC is the best way.

Do you mean sales leads or web traffic? There is a big difference in both.

Use squeeze pages to capture the leads info by offering themsome thing of value like a free report.

Build a ton of traffic to a squeeze page and convert from there

You need to set up a "hot topic" page/site or squeeze page and offer visitors a freebie related to the hot topic. The freebie can be an ebook, ecourse, videos or software, as long as it's a fairly decent freebie that has some use

Forum marketing can do wonders if you have an enticing signature (that's not too pushy) that is a good fit for the clientele of the forum.

It also gives you a chance to establish yourself as an expert in the forums too.
