I need help promoting my blog.
I have no idea to promote it, please help me.

Why don't you set up an autoresponder with rss feed capability and upload it with Co-registration leads? After you do that then connect your blog to your autoresponder so that all of your blog posts are instantly emailed to all of the subscribers you are loading into your autoresponder.

All of these people will receive your messages and be lead back to your blog via the link that you leave in your emails.

Have you heard of Blog Traffic Exchanges? Do a G search for it.

Where to start with this one?

You can submit to web/blog directories.
Submit that thing to rss directories.
Ping your posts (I am a fan of pingoat.com)
Add your blog link to your signature in relevant forums.

One of the best ways to promote your blog is to engage with other bloggers in the blogosphere. Particularly your niche. Read their content, and respond via the blog comment feature with some intelligent feedback. Make contacts and use the good comments you leave to attract their attention and leave them feeling compelled to visit your blog and comment.

You could also do the article marketing thing.
Put a free ebook together and distribute it on ebook directories etc.
Put together an audio, and distribute it on the podcast directories.
Put together a video and distribute it using tubemogul to some of the top free video directories (it's a free service).

There are some thoughts off the top of my head.

You can easily learn how to write articles. Anybody can do that.
Find juicy keywords for your niche from which you'll extract your
articles. Gather like 5 article directories you can submit to...then
come back here for more invaluable ideas.

Simple and doable!

Try finding other blogs in your niche and see if they
offer paid advertising and advertise on their blog
linking back to yours or if there posts are allow comments,
place a comment about this post and you will have created
a link back to your blog.

Write something contraversial, digg it and submit to popular bookmarking sites. You'll be amazed... people will flock to your blog

I am a big fan of automating my blog - but this post gets me to wondering if you all could start listing some of your favorite Blog plugin-ins and other software that does things like "autoresponder with rss feed capability" SEO, ping-backs, auto-twitter, etc.

I use a combination of blog-post to Ezine Articles and then use EZA's "article widget. I also use the WP SEO plugin and twitter plugins, Feed-burner for rss.

This is actually a great post to get a list of the best stuff to build a blog empire.

As well as article directories you can also add articles to Web 2.0 properties such as Hubpages Squidoo etc and link back to your sites with keyword anchor text.

i think the best ways to promote your blog would be through by making some forum postings with signatures, commenting on other related blogs with signature. Article submissions and also directory submissions can help. The way to generate traffic is through using SEO tools effectively. Thanks

Article directories are a brilliant source of traffic, but you should never put all your eggs in one basket.

When starting off, your best bet is to concerntrate on generating quality, unique content and stick at it. Install Google Analytics, submit your site to the search engines, blog directories, rss directiories, social networking sites.

Track where the traffic is coming from, focus on what the stats are telling you, do more of what works, build, build, build, scale, scale scale.

Check where your competitors traffic is coming from, use Yahoo SiteExplorer to see the links to their site, where's their traffic coming from? Why are people linking to them? Can you get a link from there aswell?

Just a few tips to start off with
