    imhabibone, thanks again.

What social media do you recommend?

I'm planning to begin with Twitter. But I've read that reddit could be amazing.

Facebook groups are other option. Some recommendation?

Every time you start a new avenue you need to think who are you going to serve. The whole point is to provide a service greater than expected.

A blog is a good starting point using it as a place where you share your experiences and what you have learn from them. And then how that experience will give value to your potential customers.

The rule of thumb is ALWAYS Give MORE that what people expect from you. If you want to attract customer give them free stuff, but not junk, give them things that will be valuable for them. So They will say if this person gave me this great product that has helped me on this, probably the product he is providing is very good too.

The more you give the more you get back.

Good luck in you new and exiting business!

    3.google+
    4.pinterest
    5.linkedin
    6.instagram
    7.reddit

i'm using all of them and receiving very good results.but, each social-media platform has its own flavor and etiquette. It's hard to make time to figure them all out and use your time on them productively.

"Social media is a great way to connect with new people, including potential freelance clients. Having a presence on one of the hugely trafficked social-media platforms can also help your own freelancer website rank better in search and help you get found by prospects.
But here's the problem: You're not supposed to be salesy on social media. It's supposed to be mostly a place to hang out and socialize.

As a result, it takes a little finesse to use social media for prospecting, since messages like "Got any design work for me?" tend to get you unfollowed, disconnected and/or blocked, depending on the platform. But if you focus on specific marketing and network-building activities, social media can be well worth your time investment."

all three of those ideas in the topic post are good, I have nothing bad to say about any of them. What I recommend is that you specialize in one of them and become really good at it. You'll make a lot of money. Just remember. Branding is a long term game, not a short one. Choose an occupation and stick with it, you'll win big money in the end!

I would set up a blog/website to share some of your work and value you have. Then market your service by attraction marketing via facebook fanpage or group .

Look in other forums in your niche and see the top 5-10 questions people are asking and create a give away to get emails & phone numbers.

This is a start . Connect me if you want help or advice.

    All the best

    Hi Elkin, thanks a lot!

Agree! always deliver great value --> long term business relationship (Brian Tracy's stuff xD)

About the extra value, I thought in giving an extra audit to a website. So, my clients will know the state of their website and the possible problems that could be fixed.

Wish you good luck with your service too

I think there're many methods that you need to do in order to promote your site to get traffic, revenue or lead,.... There're many, for both free methods and paid methods.

Free methods such as: Doing SEO strategies, Social Media Content sharing, Youtube Sharing, Facebook Content, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest,...and many other channels that give you free using and promotions

Paid methods such as: Doing SEM such as Google Adwords, GDN, Solo ads, Facebook ads, banner ads,...

So it depends on your budgets that you will choose which methods that can give you the best effort, or you need to combine between free & paid methods in order to get the effective results

    I hope this helps.

    Very inspiring comment!

I know that the brand have more weight to set a price than experience. For this reason I have a very competitive fee right now. I prefer making contacts and showing my how I work.

    • Nicolas,

Try joining LinkedIn and Facebook niche groups among other niche online communities (like here in the WarriorForum) with lots of active members who might need a lot of WordPress development and design work (your sig says you specialize in WordPress) done for them from time to time, i.e. Groups and online communities about specific niches related to broad industries like online business, ecommerce, Web publishing, affiliate marketing, mobile and social media marketing, SEO and the like ...

Contribute helpful content in those communities, i.e. You can recommend certain free and premium WordPress themes and plugins (yours or others) that might be useful for affiliates in certain niches, or for online businesses and ecommerce merchants, or for Web publishers and mobile marketers, etc. You can also provide quick helpful guides and various tweaks that could maximize the usefulness of your recommendations for each niche group and so on ...

You can also create free and premium WordPress themes and plugins that could most likely be very useful for certain groups in particular niches under related industries, i.e. Online business, ecommerce, affiliate marketing, Web publishing, mobile marketing, SEO, social media marketing and so on ...

You can integrate creative, non-obtrusive promotional tactics into your free and premium WordPress themes and plugins that could drive interest in your WordPress development and design services from your ideal users ...

You'd of course need a good looking site with an irresistible opt-in offer for your ideal users, along with social media pages and other Web properties. It's relatively straightforward to use those while promoting your offers across your target online communities ...

However, I think offering your services as a freelancer should be more of a short term objective, i.e. To pay bills and cover living expenses while building a more sustainable business ...

For example, your long term goal can be to steadily grow a team of WordPress developers and designers that can:

      1. Create monthly packages of free and premium WordPress themes and plugins for your free and premium subscribers;

      2. Work on custom service contracts from your free and premium subscribers;

      3. Work on custom service contracts that your team of digital marketers and affiliates can close outside your free and premium subscribers; and

      4. Work on internal projects like sites, Web tools and mobile apps designed to get users and subscribers that you can then drive to your affiliate offers ...

    HI,

I think if you want to start Freelancing you must start on websites like Upworks and Fiverr. It worked for me. You build good reputation and can show off your good work. Some clients will stick to you and just use your service. From there you start your business profile.

It worked for me, best of luck to you!

      Hi vik90,

I'll have to research a little more about SEO. I've work a lot with onpage SEO optimization. But I don
't have much experience about link building and that kind of stuff.

    Hi Jdunhin,

In Fiverr there are a lot of cheap competition, its hard to make a decent money if you dont have a product on autopilot.

About Upworks, I hate the proposal system. Its not productive to have a lot of people studying a problem/project, sending a good proposal, and later having very lower chances to get the job.

For those reasons I begin working on PPH. For now Im happy with it. Anyway, I could change my mind and trying another freelancing network.

    Thanks for share!
