Is this understanding an outdated concept?
Hello Warriors,
I've been doing affiliate marketing on the side for 2 months. I work full time as a carpenter although I'm looking to learn to affiliate for others before launching my own video product on how to create custom furniture.
I just wanted to ask how could I improve my marketing process i've been told several times that i'm outdated in terms of my understanding.
Right now I have chosen my niche in dinnerware and carpentry, bought a domain and I'm preparing to set my website up.
My current plans for the website is to have a blog page, a gallery of my crafts as a testament of my knowledge, my contact info and links to my facebook and instagram.
On the Blog I plan to post 3 times a week, the posts will be varied between relationship building posts with my audience, sales pitches and content regarding the crafting industry being the bulk.
I also plan to publish my own free e-book as an incentive for people to join my mailing list. In addition to my own products, I would also be writing reviews and linking other products to their pages.
As for traffic I don't intend to go to paid traffic as budget is currently tight. I'm thinking of uploading some interesting furniture and post videos on facebook via groups regarding how I craft and have that linked to relevant posts in my blog.
Is this the right direction to go as a marketer or are there any tips to improve the process? I'd like to get some understanding of how things are before setting the website up wrongly.
