I reckon after Kern and evey other div that uses Dog grooming as their example, most IM followers could set up an absolute killer dog training, grooming, walking business online...

I reckon we could all do some pretty neat Bonsai cultivating as well ;-)

So if your keyword is "English Seaside Hotels" ( do you guys like that I didn't say "dog grooming" ) anyway, so your site is about English Seaside Hotels and you should have a post that includes a pic of one of these hotels.

To do it right, when you insert the pic into your post you have the option to give it a caption. Call it "English Seaside Hotel".

In your code which looks something like this [ img src="englishseasidehotel.jpg"] see how I named my pic the keyword. Whatever the name of the pic is you can "rename" it to your keyword on your computer before you upload it.

Now back to the code so we have [img src="englishseasidehotel.jpg" width="100" height="300" alt="English Seaside Hotel"]

Make sure you check the properties of the pic to see the size width and height because it is proper coding to have those attributes listed and it adds to the SEO.

Also did you see the alt tag? Put the keyword in there and this should be written as if someone were reading it. In the IE browser whenever pics don't show up, this is to tell the reader what the pic is.

Make sure you have all of those in place and your pic will be in the running for ranking in the image searches.

So if someone does a search for English Seaside Hotels and they decide to look at a pic to see one they would probably go up and click "images" to see that search for images.

Your pic should be one of the first to pop up. Again, depends on competition but right now not many people are putting thought into pics.

After this thread however...

Matt

thank you very much,

Maybe another silly question:

What does make one image rank higher against another one ?

if the code is well done, following your advice, does the image need some BACKLINKs to get a high ranking ??

Google always wanna backlinks, so maybe here it's a good idea as well.

G.

- 2989 Unique visitors, 6469 page views and $57 generated in adsense...

The secret?

G indexed one of those stupid pictures I put onto that blog, it indexed it for a very competitive keywords that drove all that traffic...

Who said it should be complicated?

Well Done

Your blog should be your shop window do you have an opt in box?
try giving something away for free and build a list of future customers.
Money is in the list ( as I keep hearing the money is in the list )
keep up the good work

Ranking for an image can work very well but where most marketers make the mistake is they want to rank for a picture lets say weight loss and they finally rank for it but no one is opting in or buying something. Why? Its because people looking at images have no reason to go to the website itself. They just wanted to see some pictures. How can we make those people really visit our sites like real targeted visitors? Simple, try to rank for an image that has a clear call to action. Something like:

Do You Want To Lose Weight Just Like Lisa You See On This Image? Then Go To www.YourDomain.com Now For Instant Access To Our #1 Rated Weight Loss Program On The Internet!

And then you just ad a picture or something thats related to your website. This way they will either type in your domain name in the browser (highly targeted visitors) or click trough to your domain which is very targeted as well.

Think outside the box and you can make a lot of money or generate a lot of opt ins with image ad rankings.

Good luck!

From what I have learned from my personal experiences with this, a pic if coded properly will be ranked by the SEO from the site.

However, if two sites have roughly the same or close SEO on them and one site's pic is not coded well as what we just talked about then the properly coded pic would win out.

The way to get people to your site from a pic is to have a banner at the bottom of your pic with your site URL.

If you take your pics that you will be using on your site and use a graphics program, put a "banner" or rectangle at the top or bottom that says "This picture provided by...".

The "text" on the image will be saved as part of the image and will not be read by the search engine bot. Humans will read and see your message.

"does the image need some BACKLINKs to get a high ranking ??"

I have never tested that. Like stated above, I think all pics being coded properly, the site's rank determines.
