How to find (honest) products for affiliate marketing?

Hey guys i've been dabbling with IM for some time now. Trying affilate marketing and such. Still a newbie though to be honest.

What keeps stopping me is when i look for affiliate offers, everything seems so fake and set on exploiting others. Like a niche for "addiction".

What i'm trying to say is, all the products i find seem like junk or something on a grey area of being ethical.

I guess what i'm trying to ask for is suggestion for affiliate products that you might buy yourself?

I'm aware of Amazon, but that's about it :/

Any suggestions?

Try maxbounty, peerfly, comission junction or shareasale.

The easiest way to research an affiliate product to promote is to actually purchase the product and go through it to see if it's worth promoting.

If it's not worth it, then promptly ask for a full refund fast. This way you have more confidence promoting the product and you earn more respect from your list or buyers and in so doing, have good success in the long haul.

    Best of Luck!

Also remember that there is a big world outside of IM / MMO.

For the past 16+ years, I have been promoting PPL (pay per lead) offers, which is just lead generation offers. The reason is that there is no credit card or purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall performed the best. Plus they tend to have greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience). So the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote.

The bulk of the offers I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. However, what an offer pays out is not the sole key factor. How well it converts is just as important, if not more. For example, you could have an offer that pays $9 and if it is converting at 2X+ of a $20 offers, it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, you could have an offer that pays $90 and if it converts poorly, it may not even be worth running it.

Some of the verticals that I have done extremely well with are: insurance, education, loans, assistance, credit, mortgage, debt, homeowner offers, etc...

Bottom line, it's just simply far easier to get someone to fill out a short form than it is to get them to take out their credit card and make a purchase. So why beat your head against the wall trying to convince users to buy this or that, when you can just provide them with free info for something they actually need and get paid well doing it.

    Something to think about.

    Honest products?

I think OP you maybe getting turned off by what we call 'Ad Copy'. I could be wrong. Marketing if done right usually gets people's attention and makes them follow through with a series of actions.

But marketing tactics don't have affect 'all' minds. Only the majority.

With regards to selling products, I can only personally sell something that I see the 'value' in it for myself.

If I don't see the value in a product (unconsciously), I won't be able to sell it to another soul.

If you're newbie it's very difficult to find good honest programs in this case you have to be very careful by choosing a product.

I either buy it myself or ask for a review copy.

I have emailed a handful of ClickBank vendors about a review copy and they hardly ever say no.

Why would they? It's in their best interest because if you like it, there is a chance you will be making money for them too.

If you can use the product and share your experience, even better.

ClickBank used to be a good one but is now infested with crap products. If you really want a good one, try the mainstream affiliate businesses like commission junction (CJ), Tradedoubler, Affiliate Window, etc. These businesses also provides popular and high quality products for affiliates but the more popular the product is the lesser commission you can get i.e. 5%, 10%, etc. as the chance for a sale is quite big.

Most are good or honest. See making money online is all done the same way and it does not matter what you are buying. The easy formula! A high demand marketplace, find a good product with good epc's, find a traffic source and learn to convert that traffic.

If you're concerned about "Honest" products
I would stay away from anything marketing
related. Stick to to actual physical products
like maybe scrap booking or fly fishing or
knitting patterns or something like that.

Have a look at Profit Copilot (if it's currently accepting students), made by a couple of veteran Warriors on here. I've been recommending to my list for years.

But I guess it depends on what kind of level of hand holding you need.. an mentor might be a better option for you.
