Product Support Without SPAM?

Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend

I'm gearing for a new product launch, and I will need to provide good support. Most of my current products are supported either via eMail or via a product support forum which I created for the purpose or both.

Problem is, I get massive amounts of SPAM with these methods and its sometimes hard to tell who's legit.

My support forum uses PHPBB and its already configured to use verification for posts so no problem there. Its the eMail form that needs a script or something.

So my question regards the best way to slow this junk - should I use verification images? Is there a script which I can use with my eMail support form page which will generate the verification? Suggestions?

Please excuse my ignorance but I've not dealt much with this. Thanks in advance!
