Which of This Book Title Will Spark Your Interest?

Hy all,

I'm changing the title of my upcoming book, thanks to awesome suggestions by members of this forum.

Which of the following title will spark your interest?

1. How To Create A Website That Search Engines Fall In Love With

2. Become A Wordpress Website Designer In 5 Days - The Step By Step Guide

3. Wordpress For Beginners' - The Step by Step Guide

4. The 5-Day Design School: How To Become A Wordpress Designer before this weekend.

5. You can add yours if you want.

The book basically covers everything you need to know about setting up a self hosted Wordpress blog (or website): set up, design, security, customization ...and yes: you can accomplish the lessons in 5 days.

Your awesome suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Seems to me that #1 and #3 target different audiences than #2 and #4.

The odd numbered options seem to target complete newbies who just want an effective site, while the even numbers seem to target people looking to get paid for creating websites.

Given your description of the book, I'd stick to the odd numbers. If it was me, I'd use #1 as the title and #3 as the subtitle.

You did not tell us your target audience, but it you are going after beginner's this sounds the best. Number one may not appeal to all Word Press beginner's. Someone might just want to throw a site up to get started online and drive paid traffic to it.

I like #1 the best. Because it catches the attention of someone who is into SEO.

2, 3 and 4 seems like it is more catered to someone who has no knowledge of wordpress. Good luck!

    dont ask us.

ask your potential buyers by testing these different headlines.

    always test your:

    titles

    squeeze pages

    sales copy

    etc..

take care and best of luck,

Are you targeting people with no knowledge and want to build a website? Or are you targeting people who know what Wordpress is and want to learn more?

I'm basically targeting beginners who want to learn how to set up, design and secure a self hosted a wordpress blog.

Some might have known Wordpress (because it's very popular) while others may not.

First I would recommend correcting the problems in your headline. If you're a writer, you should be able to do that.

As for a good title for your book, in my opinion, none of your choices are strong enough. While your product may very well be great, there are lots of others providing similar information.

Make a list of things that separate your book from those of your competitors.
Then try to use one of those elements in your headline to really grab the attention of potential buyers.

I hope that makes sense and I wish you well.

I actually found other titles of books in the same niche as mine but I wanted the title to correlate with the content it has to offer.

I'll check out other books and see if I can tweak the title a little bit.

Again, thanks for your suggestion. Well appreciated!

You must specifically target your audience and get to know who are needing your book as a solution to their problem.
    For examplein my opinion)
The first one target the people who want to learn search engine optimization tips.
The second and fourth are for those who need to learn designing wordpress website.
The #3 is for those who are totally newbies on Internet marketing world.

So Tell us who is your niche or audience that you will create the book for?

I remember reading somewhere that you can essentially test book titles using Adwords. Just target a relevant keyword, put each of the titles in as a separate creative, and have them all point to an email capture page. You then just run them for a few days and choose the one with the most conversions

Perhaps you're thinking about Tim Ferriss,

he wrote about this in the four hour work week.

In the example he used adwords. This was many years ago when adwords was much MORE forgiving...

This still might work with bing but you need to create a landing page for each keyword to keep your quality score up.

      happy testing!

Actually, it was Perry Marshall who published on it a couple of years before 4 Hour Work Week.

The strategy still works, but like you say, you have to work harder to keep your quality score up.

If it were me, I'd set up a pre-launch page describing the book, with an image, and the opt-in offer would be notification of when the book is available (including a free download on Amazon launch offer). The only changes would be the title, both in the copy and on the cover image. Add in the requisite pages (privacy, etc.) and it should pass. Key word, should. Who knows what any individual Google reviewer will do?
