If it was me I'd upload each song with an audio watermark to Youtube and album cover art for the video graphics.

Browse audiojungle.net for what I mean by audio watermark, listen to a few of their embedded songs.

Try to use this website: cdbaby.com. CD Baby will help you sell your MP3s in all the major download stores (iTunes, Amazon, Google, and more). Also it will get your music on streaming sites like Spotify, Rhapsody, and Deezer.
    All my best,

Don't give up, I have something I discovered some months ago.

Have you ever seen someone doing IM who is obviously trying to make money, but also appears to really be the "real deal" and something you would even pay for?

Once in a blue moon I find that, and I've found one that can possibly change your life re music. And I'm not even involved with music, but I was so riveted by what I found that I watched a number of the vids, as they can apply to IM in general to some degree.

I will tell you what it is, but I first want to find out if they have an affiliate program. If they do, I will join and you will sign up as my referral, which is only fair because this program really does look like it changes people's lives who are involved with music. Fair enough? So I will get back to you with that info when I can.

I've had some very good success promoting music on twitter. I was a bit of work upfront with getting followers and I even built up something like relationships to twitter followers, and when the new album launched I got preorders from twitter like mad.
To build an email list, there's nothing like giving away two or three songs for free in exchange for an email address. I used noisetrade for this - I just put up the songs and emails came in on a regular basis. Set up an autoresponder sequence, aimed at building relationship - I used mailchimp free for that. The email subs also gave me a pretty good number of preorders for the alum
Bandcamp proved to be very good too, I did nothing there to promote, just uploaded and made a nice profile.
facebook worked well only locally, twitter was the network I got into touch with people from all around the world.
