Affiliate programs: Any reputable programs?

I want to get into affiliate marketing but it seems there are so many scams out there. I heard many stories of people not getting paid by affiliate sites ,etc. Any advice on real and honest programs please?

If you are that worried then do not sign up as an affiliate with sites that host their own program, although you could be missing out on some great products. Just sign up for networks like CJ, Share-a-Sale, Amazon, Walmart, etc. etc.

Yes, you have to be careful. Learn to differentiate scams from genuine affiliate sites.

I do a lot of affiliate marketing on the JVZoo network. Mostly promoting software tools which I test / review / write about on my blog.

JV Zoo is all very well, but for a newcomer you have to wait 3 months to get any commission.....it's a piss take....

I have never heard of clickbank not paying. JVZOO and WARRIORPLUS seem to be pretty legit too. I wouldn't promote anything unless you believe in the product and product owner. This can be hard when you are starting out. I try to follow people on youtube and see if they give good info or if they sound like they are making stuff up. Trust your gut

Amazon, Clickbank, Market Health, JVZoo and even Warrior Plus.

Though there are many others, there are the ones I used frequently.

    Hi there,

While it is true that there are scam affiliate sites around, there are also legit ones you can make money from! The best ones are Amazon, CJAffiliate, JVZoo or even Clickbank.

BUT, always be cautious when trying to join affiliate sites, regardless of how legit or scam they are.. Better safe than sorry!

    Good luck!

I'd be wary of joining any affiliate programs with companies attached to the EIG, but I'm sure there must be other trustworthy affiliate programs out there. Like Amazon as people have said, as well as WPX Hosting and probably some other hosting companies not involved with the EIG.

I was in a scheme once where the guy refused to pay his affiliates, then blamed them for the demise of his site (dating niche).

But generally people pay up eventually, as they need your traffic.

Everyone will speak based on his or her personal experience. I am not saying this is the best but it sure is one of them. Sarah Staar the UK's leading female internet marketer - creator of over 30 bestselling products - has a reputation for being straightforward trustworthy and ethical. Products are high, medium, and low end. Product prices range from $ 12. to $8000. As one of her affiliates I am being offered (the same as her other affiliates) 100% on all low-end products and 50% on high and middle-end products. I joined her Licensed Partner Team nearly 2 years ago and I have absolutely no regrets. The education I received and I’m still receiving, together with the privileges I enjoy as a member of her team is awesome.

Someone said on another forum, “Any affiliate program that charges money and is not 100% free to join should be avoided like the plague” but I call such talk “garbage”. In my view, this is one of the reasons for the 95 % failure rate in the internet marketing arena today – people are unwilling to invest in their education. If as an internet marketer you are not willing to invest in yourself, I can guaranty you that you will not get to anywhere and might as well remain in your 9 to 5 day job or whatever you might be doing otherwise.
The training I received from Sarah as one of her Licensed Partner Team members, has lifted me to a new level. And the best part is, I don’t have to promote her product if I don’t want to – I can promote whatever I want to promote, do whatever I want to do with it.

Sarah is such an amazing person. She has opened the door for me to a bunch or other internet marketers like herself – straight forward, trustworthy and ethical. Persons like Martin Avis, Rob Cornish, Greg Cesar, Christopher John Payne, Jon Penberthy, Phil Wiley, Ty Cohen, and others.

My advice to anyone searching for an affiliate program to join is, check out Sarah Staar first. You don’t have to join her Licensed Partner Team up front. Find one of her free products, receive the offer and sign up to her list, and observe what she is all about first. If what you observe about her pleases you, take the next step and sign up to her Licensed Partner Team. If you are not impress, then you can just unsubscribe from her list and forget about it.

You might not be able to gain access to her Licensed Partner Team right now, but after you receive any one of her free products (How to Sell Affiliate Products, 37 Best Free Marketing Tools, or any of the others) and get on her list, you will be informed as soon as access becomes available next.

Even with mostly reputable networks like ClickBank, CJ and Shareasale you can still encounter some unscrupulous merchants. Merchants who find ways to kick you out of their programs right before you are to be paid and keep your commissions for themselves or find ways to cheat you out of being credited for sales that you have generated in the first place. So be weary even if you sign up with a reputable network.

Don't focus on the naysayers... There are dozens of honest networks. Choose good products to promote is key.

It's kind of funny...the people who usually ask these types of questions and start threads like this are usually the types of folks who don't stick around long enough in marketing to see any type of results what so ever.
