Best way to promote Kindle ebooks?
Here's what I've done so far:
- The book is well written and something I care about and research all the time, in fact i took a personal trainer course and got certified. So it's not a scammy, quickly written by someone in the Philipines for five bucks.
I am also a trained graphic designer so i designed the cover and I think it looks better than many of my competition.
Have website/blog that I've had for years. In fact, the book came from the site. If I can actually make a penny off it, I'll also convert the "Gain 10 Pounds" part of the website to an ebook.
Added a Free "Trial Version" of the book with of course a page that sells the paid book, a link to the website, a link to a fun quiz on the website"
Website has a popup with a different free book "20 things you need to quit doing now!" for opting in to my list. Paid book also has an ad with link to this LP.
The above mentioned 20 Things book is also on Amazon so that I now have 3 books under my Author Page. It sells on Amazon for .99.
I've paid for people to download my book during the 5 day free promo that Amazon allows so they can leave reviews. First one was from Upwork. F*ing st*pid. All reviews are written in terrible grammar, mistakes, obvious copies from other books. I've since hired a new one that was supposed to be better but still sucks. Obvious that it's a bunch of foreigners writing bogus reviews. I can't imagine anyone reading them and thinking they're legit.
I have a very small Twitter act (hard to get followers) and i promote there and I've reached out to some people there. Two people helped out and RT their followers. Not many buys.
How would you promote this?? What am I doing wrong?
