Yes traffic generators work in one way or another everyone on this forum makes money from traffic.

If you want to learn a lot about traffic i would recommend joining the war room for 37 dollars you will get more information on traffic then anywhere else on the internet for that little.

But for some more free things you can try out try yahoo answers and youtube.

Be careful on yahoo Answers. You might spend a lot of time there and you can get banned at the drop of a hat.

There are better ways to get traffic.

- Add comments to other people's blogs in your niche - good quailty comments.

- Write articles

- Use keywords you are targeting in your urls

- Add a signature to your profile linking to your site - I see you don't have one.

For traffic I would focus on writing as many keyword rich articles that you can. Here is a step-by-step plan of action you can take.

1. Research keywords using the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and come up with a list of 25 long tail keyword phrases that have 500+ searches per month.

2. Write one article on each of the 25 keyword phrases for a total of 25 articles of around 350 to 500 words each.

3. Submit the articles to your blog, EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com, ArticleDashboard.com, ArticlesBase.com, and IdeaMarketers.com.

4. Turn each of the articles into PowerPoints and convert them to videos using CamStudio with you reading the articles as you go over each slide.

5. Submit each of the videos to YouTube.com and Revver.com.

Traffic is all about getting lots of content out there that is keyword rich. Hope this helps you.

I wanted to add some points so you can keep on the road and it may help you a little more:

When it comes to traffic

You have PAID FOR and FREE so that separates the basic categories.

Paid for is the fastest - 15 minutes to get traffic to your site, but it costs, you can lose your shirt on it, if you don't know what you're doing and it is not a long term strategy. You certainly won't make money with this strategy, but if your smart you should be able to build a list and break even, remembering and the money and profit is in your list.

Free takes time, but is undoubtedly the best and revolves around Organic SEO, in other words, the searches that Google brings up when you type in a natural search term under the AdWords right at the top of the page, which again are the paid for links.

SEO is all about getting lots and lots of other sites to point to your site and thus get your site optimised for certain key words (those phrases you type into a search engine when you are looking for things/information etc).

You can also use the following fairly easily:

Articles
Directories
PR
Social connecting via the likes of MySPace, Facebook, Twitter - this last one is a great idea and Holly Mann, the founder of this forum gets if my memory serves me right about 10% of her traffic from Twitter alone.

I would recomend you do the traffic exchanges too. They´re free.

The downside to the traffic exchanges is the traffic you get is not targeted, but it´s there. So you´ll do best by trying to capture the leads to your list when they visit your site.

There are many great traffic methods mentions here.

As for wasting your 5 days. I have gone weeks, months with no or not worthwhile results, that is part of this method. 5 days is way too early to get GREAT results, no matter what anyone tells you. You gotta just keep working a little each day on all the methods mentioned. It took 3.5 years for me to leave my job, but it added up. So dont be discouraged

Thanks again for all the helpful info guys, im nowhere near quitting my job lol, but would like to some day. As for Twitter i got 150 followers in a day, all they are trying to do is sell there product to me? Is there a better way on twitter to get a better list ? Also how do i generate and email like they did to send a thank-you for following me with my link built into it ?

I think the best tools for generating traffic would be through by doing forum postings, blog commenting, article submissions and social bookmarking. i feel they are able to generate enough traffic for my site. one can also can use the help of keywords by Google Adsense too. Thanks

I think that in order to succeed you need to mix it up and don't settle for 1 format.

To generate traffic:
Do Social Bookmarking
list building- email advertising- solo ads (your newsletter)
Participate forums
Traffic Exchange (exposure and presence)
Submit article to Directory Submission
Do Social Networking
Blog commenting

And be consistent!
