It's a number game people, that's the true secret!

A lot of people seem to get frustrated with the amount of money they are (or aren't) bringing in right now. This applies whether your are doing online or offline marketing.

I just closed a $20,000 offline marketing deal to do a website and start search engine optimizing the website along with an autoresponder.

Do you know the true secret to how I landed that?

I actually TALKED to someone!

You can read all the books, spending thousands of dollars on seminars and courses, but if you don't ever actually TAKE ACTION on what you learn...it won't matter!

For two years, 2007 - 2008, I made MAYBE $500 - $1000 a year in affiliate marketing.

Why?

Because I'd get a book on adwords...do it for a little bit....

Then the next launched product would come out, and guess what? I hadn't "seen results" in 2-3 weeks of what I was going before, so I'd go and just switch to the next big promise.

This a very unproductive and disheartening cycle to get in to!

Do you want to see results?

Then find ONE idea, ONE strategy, and give it a TRUE shot!

If PPC is your thing, then so be it, but don't just give up when your first attempt goes sideways. Review and learn what worked and what didn't....then try again.

Set a budget that you can handle losing, so you don't freak when things go sideways.

If Article Marketing or Website Flipping is your thing, then GIVE IT TIME to see results, and go 100% into marketing and promoting your articles or backlinks to make them high quality and worth something!

and if Offline Marketing is your thing then sure, devote time to reading and learning, but then APPLY what you learn!

If you purchase a product that gives you a method of prospecting etc. then actually spend a week USING that method.

Sure, you might get hung up on, or ignored etc.

But guess what?

It doesn't matter if you fail 500 times, and your friends and family mock you...

Because when you SUCCEED on the 501st time, and you get those amazing results...

People will remember the SUCCESS, not the amount of times you failed.

So stop beating yourselves up, quit complaining about not getting results, and just keep PUTTING FUEL in the FIRE!

It's all about momentum, and learning while you go, you'll see results if you just KEEP GOING AT IT!

I learned a looooong time ago playing the adsense game that it was strictly a numbers game. In terms of being an affiliate for clickbank, the more sites I put up (say 5-10) and promoted them so as that they provided competition for each other..i won.

I like to think my advantage in the online game is the ability to automate and put up sites, and adequately promote them, whereas others stick their toe in the water with a site or two and spread out article promotions to gather backlinks and traffic.

Congrats dezz. What I wanted to say is that The one thing people forget that the internet marketing is not a level playing field, as in all aspects of business. It is biased geographically and based on other miscellaneous factors. So there is no one set formula for success that can be 'replicated' 'duplicated' 'copied' or 'xeroxed'. Find a way that works for you and keep going at it, trying to see if it would always work the way it had always been.

What you're saying is so true.

I think a big part of it is deciding on a goal and committing to it 100%. You set the goal/result/outcome based on true desire, rather than a passing fancy. The end result is the target you're moving towards and therefore all actions should advance you to that end.

It's very easy in this age of instant gratification to try something once, claim it mustn't work as advertised, then jump on the next bandwagon. And we all know there's no shortage of "opportunities" and distractions. Those who succeed do so because they don't waver. Instead, they stay FOCUSED on the goal until they get the positive results they seek.

The method doesn't matter as much as the FOCUS.

But you've got to stick with it long enough to make it happen. There are fortunes being made in thousands of different ways online and offline. But those who are knocking it out of the park are those who focused long enough in one area, method, or technique to get really good at it.
