Help needed with the "State of Awareness"
I was just wondering if anyone had some examples of products and their respective market state of awareness.
The states of awareness I'm talking about are these ones:
1.Most-aware
2.Product Aware
3.Solution Aware
4.Problem Aware
5.Unaware
I understand which products go in 1. and 5. but I'm not fully sure about the rest. If anyone has a good understanding of this this, I'd like to have some examples.
Let's say I come up with a shampoo with coconut oil in it, but it's not the first one. It's just another shampoo with coconut oil. Is my market state at 5. or 2. in this situation? Is the state of awareness based on my product, or all the current products? Cause if it's based on my product, it should be 5. since none has heard about it before... But at the same time, it's not some breakthrough product. It's just another coconut oil shampoo out there so it would be 2. I guess?
Whenever I make a product launch, do I automatically start at 5. or not?
If anyone familiar with this could give me some examples, it would be amazing. I've searched on other sites and they only give like one example per category and it doesn't help me settle this down in my head.
