Default Right to use trademarked terms on your own site?

I got cease and desist letter to stop using someone's brand on my site.
Basically my commercial site has one line that says:
My software could be integrated with Brand.

So Joe@Brand.com sent me cease and desist email requesting removal of his Brand from my site within 24 hours. He stated that the way my software integrates with Brand system is against their TOS.

Is it legitimate?
Is it enforcable?

My site is Canadian and Brand . com is US Company.
