Hi,
I'm attending a seminar soon, and I wanted any idea's on what info to put on your business card. Apart from the usual, your name, contact info, and website details. I am mostly looking for jv partners, and people to opt in my site. What would you put on your business card? Also, I am looking for any deals on printing cards? Thanks |

I've been thinking of this too. I think mine is going to be pretty untraditional which isn't surprising since I'm untraditional.
I'm thinking it'll go something like this:First Name: XXX Last Name: XXX Title: World Traveler and Web Goddess Email: personal email addy Website 1: personal blog Website 2: business site Skype Name Yahoo IM Name Gtalk Name Twitter Name I don't have a phone/fax/address so I can't include those and this will be multi-purpose to hand out to people I meet traveling as well as potential business contacts. Should be fun to design.

I use business cards every day. Give them to every customer or prospect. They really help in every way. But, no need to put something funny or quippy on them. People just like to be able to contact you. It is better than tearing off a piece of a tow sack and looking for a pencil in the truck.
Years ago, folks used to give out "calling cards". These were little cards with just the giver's name on them. Of course, there was no telephone numbers because there were no telephones and no internet either with all the accompanying email addresses and Skype info and such. "My card!" they would say with an air of distinction. Nowadays, it is more like "Gimme your card." And, of course, most go into the trash when you look the other way! |

The best part about business cards is that when you reach to get yours, they reach to get theirs!
Then you have their info and can follow up with more information. Listbuilding 1.0 ![]() Also, if someone doesn't have a business card, note their info on one of your cards and put it in your other pocket. |

Don't to forget to put what you do on your card! A call to action on the reverse side is good, too.
Name, Title Company Address (optional) Tel.: URL: NO EMAIL -- let them contact you through your website and tell them to do that. * Sales and Marketing * Promotions * Web design and development On the back side: "Contact me for a free consultation!" Phone Number URL |

Wow. Some people must have A4 size business cards to accommodate all that info
![]() I like to control how I'm contacted (plus I have too many sites to include all the URLs) so I just have my name and an email address. Sometimes I'll write a phone number on the back of the card as I hand it over - it makes the recipient feel special ![]() Frank |

Most people think of business cards as nothing more
than contact info... try thinking of business cards as advertising space... a mini billboard. Use both sides... contact info on one side. Compelling benefit driven copy on the other. Business cards don't have to be boring. Tsnyder |

I stop putting my personal contact info in 70% of our prints, for the most parts is marketing to specific product or services with a line to call or web url

I think it depends on your business - in IM folks have a certain mindset - people in creative arts have a different one - and brick and mortar folks different still.
While I respect creating folks - using up the whole back of a card is a bit irritating to me since I use it to take notes. And writing on the front of the card can offend some folks. I'm not saying don't put a call to action or something else on the back - just don't fill up the whole space, please. And its cheaper too. --Jack |

You could make yourself a generic card with fill in the blanks so that you can be an expert in any field. Just set it up such as this...
