This has been driving me up the wall for the past three days. I am trying to upload my wordpress blog to hostgator. Basically I want my website to be my wordpress blog , I hope this makes sense. I have already used fantastico to install wordpress and have created my wordpress blog but I don't know what to do next. If anyone can point me to somewhere that describes this I would be very appreciative. Thanks! |

I don't quite get what you are trying to do either. If you have installed Wordpress with Fantastico, the blog should be set up. Do you have access to your WordPress admin account? |

The way it is worded in what I am reading is using the first post of your blog in the mini directory.

I have a domain that I set-up with Wordpress using Fantastico in the Host Gator control panel. Once it sets everything up, you need to login to the Wordpress admin panel which is normally at: http://www.yourdomainname.com/wp-login.php Difficult to understand what exactly you are trying to do. Explain it a little more, and I'm sure somebody here can help you out. |

I am struggling with the best way to describe this. I have a wordpress account with a blog set up. It is my understanding that you can upload blog posts to your website. I hope this makes sense

From what you're saying it seems you're thinking of two things: a site and a blog. In fact with WordPress you can combine them by making your home page a static page. The result is a site that looks like a normal website with an integrated blog. Is this what you're trying to do? You don't upload posts to your blog normally - you write or paste them into the 'Add New Post' screen and the publish them If this is what you're trying to do then you may want to read through this to see whether it helps: Online WordPress Tutorial | WordPress Blogging For Newbies If that doesn't help please explain in more detail what you're trying to achieve. Cheers, Martin. |
