My home page is going to the wrong squeeze page. It is still directing it to the company that "created" my page for me. I may be using the wrong words to describe what is happening, I'm very new at this. How do I make it so that when people "opt in" they are directed to my site, not the other one? Please help.

It sounds as if you haven't set up your own optin form on the page with your own auto-responder account details.

The opt in page is there, but I have not set up an autoresponder. Are there any good free ones out there? And how exactly do I set up it up? In cpanel? thanks

About the best FREE autoresponder script on the market is
Infinite Responder - Free Autoresponder Script

But you may need some help in setting this up if you are new
to installing scripts. The manual is very detailed, so you can
follow it closely and set this up yourself.

After you set this up then you are able to make your own
optin box and determine where your subscribers are redirected
after they hit the submit button.

As you explain, it appears you are using the company's optin
        info at the moment.

If you have cpanel (depending on your host) I know there are some built in autoresponders usually. I would check there.

Then after you set that up you will have to change the code on the squeeze page probably as well.

They are using Aweber for autoresponder, and its redirected to their site. If I change the direction (to my site), will that work? And in saying that, I mean, if I put my url in place of their url, will that work? (probably a very unintelligent question) Sorry, Im really not experienced in this at all, and I can't get my coach to respond.

No, if you re-direct to your site, it won't work.

The reason is this: the information that goes to aweber is submitted as a form.
If you opened an aweber account, you wouldn't have to "re-direct" anything -- just change the name of the email list to one in your aweber account.

(This probably doesn't mean a lot to you unless you have an aweber account, or know something about html forms. You can learn more about html forms at http://www.w3schools.com . The "name" of your email list -- or, in this case, THEIR email list, is in the line that says "unit=" .)

In your autoresponder there should be a spot were you enter the url redirect after a person opts-in. Put the link from your file of the page you want it to redirect to. If this does not help you can find alot of your answers and examples of how to do it on youtube. Hope this helps
