Default EZA, et al - Editing Old articles with new links -- Ok, bad, ?

Hey guys,

I have some articles out there in EZA and other places that have links to sites that aren't valid anymore or that I don't care about.

So, I was thinking of editing them and adding links to some of my new sites.

Think this is a good idea?

I know technically I have nothing to lose since the links are worthless now, but kind of wondering if I'll see any "value" out of it.

Thanks

You should do that just out of principle Jason. When an article is read and the link is dead, you lose, not the reader. It's a very good practice to breathe life in your dead links.

I have changed links on old articles at many sites including Ezinearticles. They don't mind one bit because I'm sure they have an auto pinging service, so if you make even a minute change it's good for them, because the google bots will come back to see what's happening.

Definitely, yeah! I did and it has helped.

When I got started I was linking to a lot of blogspot blogs. As I moved to WordPress sites on my own domains, I started tweaking the links in my ezine/go articles. I also found one article that I wrote with loads of views and I didn't have the best link attached. Once I tweaked it, I actually got results.

Yes, you should try to capitalize on all your traffic otherwise you are throwing money out the door.
