Your suggestions for getting affiliates please

Hi everyone, I've just put up a niche video site on weight loss, nutrition and fitness and I want an army of affiliates to promote it. :-)

What have you found to be the best ways to acquire affiliates and then motivate them to actually promote a product?

Firstly turn off the auto start for your audio on your website. Why not register with all the affiliate and CPA networks? That way you will have instant access to thousands of affiliates that maybe interested in promoting your products.

whenever i start promoting a new product i always pay for a months ads on the top affiliate sites to get it moving. Then at the same time i can get the viral marketing campaign going then after a month i can pull the paid ads.

Clickbank and paydotcom offer ads and are reasonable too.

Your sales page is too short, add more content to it.

You can advertise on clickbank's health and fitness section for getting more affiliates.

Have you considered doing a JV announcement here or affiliate recruiting ad here? (if they are allowed???) I think you can pay for an ad in the Warrior Forum Classified Ads section.

Also some other affiliate forums (including mine) allow new affiliate program announcements. You just need to search to find the forums that do and read the rules for each one.

How well does your sales letter convert? Need to test it BEFORE you start signing up affiliates. Few people seem to even think about it. So important.
