Possibly setting up a holiday home comparison site,, IDEAS?

Hi,

I have worked online and made a good living for the past 5 years. I mainly do social media marketing for local clients.

Recently I have acquired a very good fb page in the travel niche.
It's got 50k people on with reach to like ratio of aorund 30% on each post.

The Facebook page is about Scotland and I get countless messages asking about accommodation.

I know the traffic to the page is quality which would easily convert.

What I was thinking was to build a price comparison site pulling in feeds from various holiday home websites.
A bit like Trivgo or hometogo.co.uk but more local.

I haven't a clue in web development and have a budget of around 1000.

Any ideas?

TIA

Trivago has 1,000 employees and they launched their IPO last year on NASDAQ. So, I think it's safe to say that they spent a little bit more than $1,000 on their app.

You can develop a $1,000 app/website but it won't be anything like Trivago. That being said, I think what you're trying to do is a good idea. But bringing up Trivago as an example is lacking any sense of proportion.

Btw: I would suggest to stay away from developers who might tell you that they can create a website like Trivago for $1K.

Obviously it's not going to be trivago. Just using it as a base I suppose for ideas.
All I am looking to list is properties from 4 (possibly 5) holiday home websites.

Simple front page where the visitor puts in the dates they want, then onto the properties available on those dates.
They then choose and get sent to the partner website.

Yeah, what you described here is very different from Trivago. This project should be feasible on the budget you have for this.
