Did Anybody See The New Aweber Default Confirmation Page?

It's been a long time since I created a new list but did anybody see the
new Aweber default confirmation page?

It now has an audio to go along with the text reminding people to check
their email.

This will certainly get their attention.

What do you think of it...good or bad?

It is definitely a very smart change implemented. Visitor after opting in might temporarily even go off to browse other sites, the sound affect is sure to grab their attention.

I just wish they would include a message for subscribers to check their junk/spam folders in case they do not find the mail in the inbox.

Yes... I've seen it . At first I thought it was a custom page because I saw it with another marketer's list, then I realized it was standard. I have to admit the first time to started talking to me it made me jump.

My guess is that it will help opt-in's but I have no data .

I think it's a great idea but severely let down by the (in my humble opinion) very irritating and smarmy male voice.

It should help with confirmations but I wish they would allow us to customize it also.

I discovered this about 2 weeks ago, to my shock! LOL

I called Support and asked about it... I am now implementing custom confirmation pages, because many in my niche surf at work... and auto play audio can be a bad thing. <smile>

So... as always, results will vary according to your niche.

BTW, I was sent a nice Aweber postcard from the person in Support who helped me! LOL

    A loooong time ago, Steven.

What do I think? I think -- you shouldn't be using aweber's default messages, that's what I think! LOL.

Yes I've seen and I thoroughly enjoy it. It makes my life a lot easier. Well maybe not a lot, but a little helps.

Just a quick note: you can also grab that audio and use it on your own thank you page.

That way, you can still provide a customized experience to your new subscribers.

    Here's the code to embed:

    Code:
    <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://www.aweber.com/audio/form/thank-you.swf" width="84" height="84"><param name="movie" value="http://www.aweber.com/audio/form/thank-you.swf" /></object>
You can also grab the code directly from this post on our blog - it's toward the end of the post.

It's definitely a good thing Steven. Though I stopped using Aweber's thank you page and create my own. You can always test, track, and tweak your own custom thank pages to outperform Aweber's default page everytime and you give the user a more seamless and customized user experience. My sales generally increase when I put one or more links to my other products on my thank you page too.

To get people to confirm it would be even better to do your own custom page with a short video demo. Could also explain if they don't see it to check their spam/junk folders and remind them of the benefits of whatever it is you will be sending them once they do confirm.
