Default Anyone else seeing a drop in conversions in the weight loss market?

Ok first of all....

I want to be clear...

I an NOT asking for anyone's niche...or how much they make...or what they promote...or their url...etc...

So here's the deal....

So far with the exception of a good day or two my usually VERY strong weight loss market affiliate marketing efforts (not sure that sentence fully makes sense) have seen very low conversions just about the whole month so far. My campaigns have been going pretty strong since early march...The traffic is virtually the same all around through my PPC campaigns...

BUT conversions that are almost always around 3.2% are now at about 1% or less!

Now this could be two things in my mind....

1. It's just the time of year....and should start ramping up just a bit after thanksgiving.

OR...and I've never been fully convinced just yet....

2. I'm loosing a lot of sales through clickbanks damn tracking or other issues.

Whether you sell clickbank stuff, have your own stuff etc...have any of you that are in the weight loss markets who make consistent sales seeing a drop off now? Or do I have to blame it on clickbank?

Guys as always...thank you so much for everything in advance!

I think it's your first scenario. I can tell you that now that summer is over people are not as interested in losing weight. My gym is EMPTY once September hits.

I agree. If you check the historical trends with weigh loss key word searches you will see a big drop off in September. It picks up again in January.

I don't know about weight loss, but the bottom fell out of the under ware market.

We are hard-wired to store and load up on things we might need when times get tough like eating fatty foods to store more fat for an upcoming drought or famine.

The economy and DNA could be your culprit.

Spring/winter is almost here. I can hide my belly/fat/ within my enormous coat. and when I take it off, I can still be wearing turtelneck sweaters.

If I can hide it, why would I want to struggle hard to lose it. ;-)

Perhaps you could switch over to muscle building related products during this "anti-weight-loss" season Yes, perhaps I need not lose weight, but, maybe I could tone my muscles. etc. etc.
