Leadpages, Clickfunnels, or my own site

Hey guys,

So I have been thinking about possibly adding in either Leadpages or Clickfunnels to my list of tools I use for my business. But I have a question.I am planning to do a whole bunch of webinars to sell my products. I also have my own website (which is on a self-hosted Wordpress Platform). Is there any reason that I should get either LP or CF, or do you think I should just stick with my own website? Do either of them offer anything I don't already have?

I also have my own CRM (Zoho) and autoresponder (Mailchimp) as well.

It really depends on your requirements. If you add leadpages or clickfunnels, they'll take care of lot of option together. If you wish you can use different software for getting specific tasks done like, autoresponder, landing page builder, membership site etc. LP or CF is offering lot of tool together but it is also going to cost you ongoing subscription fee. Thanks :-)

ClickFunnels does a lot more than LeadPages IMO, but maybe all you want are some good lead generation/sales templates, if so then LeadPages would be a good fit. They do have more templates than CF the last time I checked.

I use CF heavily so my opinion may be a bit biased but CF offers a lot in the way of functionality as well as ease of use that you may not find with your own wordpress website. If you know how to make sales pages similar to what you can find on CF or LP then I would say theres no reason to spend more money and add on to your list of monthly bills. If however, you cannot, then I would definitely do with CF.

Well, I would have to say that I have tried them all at one time or another, but I prefer self-hosted solutions.

I have been using OptimizePress for a couple of years now and it has served me well, but I have recently started using Sean Donahoe's "WP Profit Builder" plugin and have been extremely impressed at the speed of the live editor and the load times of the page templates.

Many of my clients use Lead Pages as well as Click Funnels and are happy with them. A lot of the projects I have completed for them on those platforms have turned out well, but I prefer to have more control over the solution than a fully-hosted one.

    Just my two cents.

Yes OP2 is awesome and great for landing pages, sales pages and memebrship sites but I think people use CF for all in one solutions including funnel creation, autoresponder etc :-)

  • Clickfunnels handsdown.

If you are set on doing Webinars I wouldn't think twice, they have pre-built webinar sales funnels (live and replay) you can plug right into.

    Thanks

Lead pages is a good lead generation tool to send your visitors to if you do paid advertising/ even from your website. If you are building a list and don't have any specific landing pages, then it's a good tool. But it will cost you every month so it's worth thinking about how you will get that back from your business. If it improves your lead generation it might be worth it. Depends on your business model. I haven't used CF.

They are tools to use with your website. Clickfunnels is a awesome platform to use to build your web pages. Plus its a great way to add another income stream to your bank account.

If you are comfortable with what you have then keep working and expanding on what works for you currently.

OptimizePress can be clunky at times. Be sure to save regularly. Did I say save all the time.

It is easy enough to use and once you know where the various modifications take place it is easy to use.

I personally haven't used LP but I am a big fan of CF.

The reasons I like CF is the ability to clone and share funnels easily.

You can integrate with many things.

Membership sites, drip feeding is easy as is content locking for different member levels.

There are two versions of the editor at present so the development continues.

The product just gets better and better. Support is excellent.

If you are on their full suite plan you have a good CRM type autoresponder with logic and conditional actions included. You have a good affiliate tracking system and management system.

The downside is it is expensive for someone who doesn't have the business to justify it.

If you do have a business and want to scale then CF has many plus points.

Don't just buy in to a system before you have the business that needs it.

    Best regards,

    Ozi

    Hi:

I prefer clickfunnels. It costs more than most platforms, but they offer lots of training.
They have a great affiliate program also.

Ultimately it depends on what you want to do with the platform. CF can be used in conjuction with your website or it can be used by itself instead of your website.

    Good Luck,

Personally, I like to use my own Wordpress website and the Rapidology plugin by Aweber to create my own squeeze pages. You can customize your page to look just like a Salespage if you like too. I just get tired of endless monthly fees! lol (Cheapness runs in my blood!)

IMO you don't want to overthink the tools either. Check out Freckle Software's design and copy and know that they do over $750k/yr in sales. it's moreso about understanding your audience and their needs.

I use Instapage Builder for 'capturing' leads.

I have 2 wordpress blogs (one for generating traffic and another one to help give value to my list). So in a nutshell I create traffic using a blog, give value them and then funnel that traffic into a lead capture page.

I looked at Optimize Press but have seen more options and room to play with third party sites like Instapage.

Lead Pages has even more features.

So to answer your question OP....It all depends on how what exactly you need and how you're planning on going about with your marketing.
