    Conversion Rate optimization

I'm interested not only at the LANDING PAGE level but also in the steps preceding it.

  • The biggest issue in my opinion is presentation-the thing should be well presented to the clients.

Clarity should be required to present your service or product to the people.
If you present well with clarity.it should be work well.

My issue is less esoteric. I have click funnel that helps me build landing pages in minutes. I took the click bank university 2.0 course and I know all the tricks to select a good affiliate offer. I have mastered how the use custom domain congruent to my affiliate offer and also the use tracking tools such as click magick. I have studies Facebook as a traffic source and used simultaneously CPC and CPM on my offers. I used level 3 targeting method to select a good audience but after having set up all these system and having my email sequence in place, my traffic does not seem to convert. My click bank has stubbornly remained at 0.00 for months and end. What am I doing wrong? What piece of the puzzle am I missing?

Lack of value in the marketing process.

I think most people are still trying out the 2007 way of hyping the snot out of everything, but offering little value in return.

I missed the days where gurus still did those 4 video launches! There was a ton of value, and back then, people really made like millions in a couple of days with great (at least that's what I think) products.

I agree! Do you think this was due to the difference between the amount of internet users there were back then compared to now?

      This is so true.

By now everyone tries to setup a WP page as quick as possible, give away the minimum amount of content needed to justify an email signup and then sell, often useless, courses and products that they have no clue of themselves.

I think the main reasons why this industry is in a bad light regularly is because these types of people are looking for the quickest money possible with least effort.

    1) Producing Visitors and Leads

    Why It's a Challenge

Generating enough traffic and brings was the top promotion task, according to the 2017 Condition of Incoming review. While we ask promoters about their difficulties annually, now we included this response as a new choice -- and we're grateful we did.

    2) Providing the ROI of Your Marketing Activities

    Why It's a Challenge

Measuring the ROI (return on investment) of your marketing activities has remained a top marketing challenge year-over-year. But, it also continues to be a vital way for marketers to understand the effectiveness of each particular marketing campaign, piece of content, etc.

    3) Securing Enough Budget

    Why It's a Challenge

Securing more budget is a pressing challenge for marketing globally. And often, getting more budget is easier said than done -- especially for smaller organizations that aren't working with sizable nor flexible marketing spend.

    4) Managing Your Website

    Why It's a Challenge

Managing a website was the fourth biggest challenge for marketers in 2017. And chances are, your website's performance is high on your list of priorities. It's an asset that works around the clock to draw in visitors, convert them, and help you hit your goals, after all.

    5) Identifying the Right Technologies for Your Needs

    Why It's a Challenge

Finding the right technologies was the fifth biggest concern for marketers this year. Oftentimes, this is because feedback on technology is scattered. Marketers might turn to colleagues, friends in the industry, and/or analyst reports to figure out which technologies best fit their needs -- only to find that feedback is spread across emails, social media, and so on from people of varied reputability.

      Are you serious?

The basic ROI formula is: Net Profit / Total Investment * 100 = ROI.

As for managing a website, come on, ten-year-olds can do it.

What is the biggest issue you're having in online marketing right now?
It's Spring and I'd rather be fishing!

In all seriousness, Tim, I can't think of a thing.

I see that question a lot, in asking what type of content to create and what people should be focusing on. And I agree with what @discrat is saying.

It boils down to finding a need that needs to be fixed and can be fixed (by you), and creating content around that. Whether that content is for marketing or sale.

And I think the term "engaging" isn't being fully understood sometimes, cause it's really just being passionate about your gig the same way you'd be authentically passionate talking about whatever it is you like.

      This is an awesome thread

My click bank has stubbornly remained at 0.00 for months and end. What am I doing wrong? What piece of the puzzle am I missing?

I haven't taken the Clickbank University course, so I can't evaluate its usefulness, but I can tell you what I learned in some courses I took and how things changed things for me.

If I were to respond to this post directly I would say that my biggest problem is the amount of email solicitations I am in competition with from my fellow marketers. Many receive numerous messages a day and to get noticed is a challenge, though not necessarily a struggle. Obviously, some messages are better than others and getting a high open rate is a goal I strive for in each post I send out.

I'm suggesting you may have the same competition issue to contend with. True, you may even be using the same swipe files as everybody else promoting you particular niche. But I'm not necessarily talking about other marketers that are promoting the same product. I'm talking about marketers who are promoting similar products and the deluge of messages many potential buyers must sort through each day.

Though I don't know the source of your opt-ins, the quality of your list, your headlines or the actual content I am getting the feeling that standing out from the crowd could be an issue because you are primarily focused on selling. This is a strategy used by many illustrious marketers and there are some wonderful courses that can show you how to write and send out great, punchy emails several times a day.

This is one strategy and its the one most commonly employed. another strategy - the one I use is to be continuing to offer value simple suggestions, free advice, useful personal reflections and anecdotes. All of these message have a link under my signature. It could be to your website or landing page, but I only add a 'click here' tag line in my actual sales messages.

If you were selling laundry soap, say, you would be writing about why some detergents are more effective than others, why the aroma is important, why you should avoid certain ingredients, what to look for on the label, why some detergents are not what they claim to be, etc. I'm sure you get the idea.

The continuously offering value strategy (a rule of thumb is 80% value, 20% direct sales) is working better for me than a more aggressive approach. Though it takes more work to write these kind of emails, I get a better open rate and fewer unsubscribes and more visits to my sales pages.

I don't rule out other methods, but I do suggest you might want to try changing course and see if you get better results.

No. If you have adsense sites, for instance, 100% bounce rate, if they bounce by clicking on an ad, is perfection. Low bounce rate means they're reading the content but not making the site owner money.

    Me, scaling up.

People on this forum, based on threads I see? Understanding that online marketing is a business and, as such, requires a business plan, which needs to be implemented and, once implemented, updated.

Also, people seem to focus too much on one thing, not understanding the whole picture... That the part they're focusing on is a part in a bigger piece... Take onpage optimization. Lots of people think they're done with marketing (i.e., money should start pouring in) when they think they've install some SEO plugin and got it to show green everywhere.

First thing, your questions: Subject Header:
What is the biggest issue you're having in online marketing right now?

You are addressing those who are DOING online marketing right NOW.
So the question leaves out huge numbers of your visitors. You tell us, how many want to get STARTED in online marketing? I'd bet a large %.

But you offer no GO, NO starting point, not even basic information as to what online marketing is, and the many tracks or options people can choose from.

So, you confuse people right up front, maybe even overwhelm them.Which brings us to a completely different question:

what sort of content we should be focusing on as a community

which is on the one hand extremely curious and is admitting you don't know what your community wants??? after all these years

And at the same time, this community gives you answers on a daily basis via the questions they ask.

You guys are just coming off that horrible experiment of hiring people to post content, how'd that work out for you and the community?

OK, here are a few specifics, culled from the past few years of answering questions from MODS and as you have recently heard, being mostly ignored.

    Specific Content needs of the WF;
    1) An introduction. A starters guide. For newbs and beginners. Easy to do, send a pdf to every new sign up, post it permanently so NO one can say they didn't see it/read it/get it.
Include all the forum rules. The prices of your services in an easy to follow chart, the exact steps to take to buy a banner, a new sig file, an ad, or whatever else you have to offer.
Give the people a place to start. So content to those Warriors would look like:

Options, overviews, case studies, successful Warriors. Online marketing is a giant Pachinko machine and currently new people are just dropped like balls and left to bounce around from one post to the next.

    Guide them. Think Funnel.

    2) Eliminate several sub forums. Why show private forums if you aren't currently accepting new people into them.

    3) Now, if you have a GO space for newbies, now have spaces (think Monopoly Board) for those who are DOING, have gotten started, and have chosen their IM pathway. The content they want is PEER Success. To see how others in a similar niche are advancing their marketing.

    4) Specific Content for the Advanced Warrior, who have been at it for awhile and have achieved some success, now ready to use systems, outsourcing, scaling up strategies.

    5) Offer more JV with your established Warriors.

    6) Balance off all your selling, with some education. READ the forum to see how many people spend money, go down this rabbit hole or that WSO one, just because they see dollar signs. HELP them choose a method which suits them.

    7) Get this place better organized. Especially archives and previous posts, get those all in one posts into a PDF, can even add it to the Beginner's guide to the Warrior forum and IM.

As for "engaging" content, that is subjective and relates more to where the Warrior is on the game board, a guy living on Park Place, doesn't want the same content as the guy on Ventor (or whatever country version you have)

So TARGET your content to meet the needs of all of your members, no matter what stage of the game they are currently at.

The biggest issue I am facing in online marketing is similar to offline marketing.

That is finding out what people need and want before customizing your product or others products if you are promoting to their needs and wants.

But not before knowing who and where to target your audience whom you KNOW are interested in your niche.

Despite all the talk about writing articles, doing videos, placing ads in both free and paid ways as well as blogging etc, marketing is NOT just about selling stuff or write reviews simply for the sake of getting people to click and buy through your affiliate link.

Sorry to break the hearts of those doing the latter and reading this but that is NOT how marketing works.

Marketing is really about connecting to people, understanding them and then offering your products or other people's products you promote as affiliate as -

A solution to their needs and wants.

Most marketers - including myself when I got started - only think of making money to support themselves, their families and better quality of life.

But most failed to understand as much as they want to do these, other people want those as well.

That is why those other people constantly look for online courses who can cater and served them best based on the quality of content and how the teacher or guru as what most marketers called teaches.

    OK - you want specifics?

1- IMO, the WF already has lots of great content. We are here to discuss online marketing - our purpose is plain and straightforward. The admins should be focused on making the best of that content easily accessed. Work to keep the "junk" (spam, useless posts, self promotion, any other worthless content) out of the forum in the first place, but more importantly, get creative and find a way to organize and present the best content so that it can quickly be found. This effort could turn this forum into a very valuable asset that draws immense traffic given the "make money online" interest nowadays. Fantastic and usable content is already here ... but it's hidden in all the millions of archived posts and the search function is very mediocre or worse.

2- This thread should really be located in the suggestion section of the forum, shouldn't it? But you don't put it there for two reasons: 1) most suggestions (from the members at least) fall on deaf ears, and 2) you wouldn't get the number of eyeballs to your thread that you want. Do you understand why members are frustrated with your suggestion system and response? You already have plenty of good suggestions waiting to be acted upon, but now you're asking for more suggestions. Curious.

3- Those who can provide the greatest content for this forum are the online business owners that are in the trenches every day doing online marketing. They understand what works and what doesn't work. I would ask, how many of the admins personally are successful Internet marketers, not as employees of FL, but as independent small business owners? These are the folks executing the WF and directing it's future, yet most have no background or experience in the niche. Do you see the disconnect? When you pay folks to post content, direct posts to the most appropriate place, and decide what is seen and what should be nuked, you would do it very differently if you had experienced seasoned business people on board.

Long story short - you don't need more content. You need to implement ways to organize, present, filter, access, and highlight the wonderful and useful content that is already found here.
