I think this strategy is a complete waste of time and resources.

If you're talking about a paper offline magazine I wonder if you
any idea how monumental this task is. Not to mention the cost
and the fact that magazines are dying all over the place.

Why do you think this is a better idea than just going straight
to your target market and selling your products?

Before I would jump into this magazine thing I'd print some high
quality product brochures, get on the phone and call my prospects
and offer to send them the brochure after qualifying some degree
    of actual interest.

Best of luck to you whatever you decide to do.

    .

Are you going to build a printed or digital magazine related to your product?

If it is printed magazine, you may try Magazines Dot Com but if it is digital, you may consider PDF document-sharing sites like Issuu, Scribd and Slideshare.

Or do a Google search for magazine publishing sites and compiled a list of what you feel is best for your work.

    Sure, it will work.

Moreover the magazine that you you have, will have more audience than the particular product that you are trying to promote. What is more you can use this audience to market other products which you may create in future. So it is quite similar to email marketing.

Mark, surely you are talking about a digital magazine, right ??

Not that a hard copy one would not work but this day and age I would stick with this online first . imo

I certainly hope you are not considering a hard copy magazine. As mentioned above that is a BAD idea.

I would strongly suggest you consider selling some of your inventory on Amazon via their FBA model since they already have a huge amount of buyer traffic looking for just about everything.

The best way to find out for sure is to just try it and see if it works.

Yes, people who trust your magazine will trust you telling them a particular product is worth buying more than people who do not know/trust your magazine.

However, you need to get people, the right people, to buy/read your magazine. Then, you need to get them to trust it.

You are, in other words, putting extra steps in the buying process. If you succeed, and your magazine becomes THE place to look up things in whatever niche you are for your region, you win big. Otherwise, you lose a lot.

Why not sell to them directly, earn some money while they learn to trust you, then, when you have a bunch of them trust you, send them email messages (leave copies of your magazines in your store(s)). Then, when you have more of them, you create a magazine...

    Not bad..
But I'd like to create some high
quality item catalogues, get on the phone and contact my prospects
and provide to deliver them the leaflet after determining some degree
    of real interest.
