No, same password for all. You only have 1 cpanel account where you can host multiple domains.
Even if you do it like this it will work. www.maindomain.com/cpanel Log in and work on all of your sites / domains www.NEWdomain.com/cpanel Same deal. I usually just log on with my main domain and work on everything within a cpanel account. |

Once you've changed the nameserver's, go to your cPanel and click on "Addon Domains" and add your domain though it.
Next time you go to fantastico or file manager, it will have a drop down menu with your newly added domain. You can install WP or whatever you wish to install. |

Jim - you do not need another Hostgator password for each domain. Logon to your Hostgator cpanel with your current password. Then click the 'Add on Domain' icon to add your new domain to your hosting account. After that, return to the cpanel and click the 'Fantastico De Luxe' icon to install Wordpress onto the new domain.

What sort of hosting plan do you have with Hostgator? I have reseller accounts
with Hostgator and I have a username and password for the Webhost Manager and then inside of that I can set up each of my domains where I create a new account and choose the username and password for each domain. I have not used other account setups with Hostgator but I imagine it is much the same as the reseller account, as in you would need your username and password for your Hostgator account to get in and set up each of your domains. I don't know if this has been all that helpful to you. Someone else may chime in here and offer more info for you. Lynette |
