Inc.com verified directory?

I saw an ad to get an "inc.com verified directory" listing for $30/year. It said it will "rank well for SEO,"--sounds hokey--rank for what terms? I can't find the directory online so not sure who sees it, and I assume it's nofollow though as I cannot find it, can't check. I'm interested mainly in a strong backlink. Does anyone have a learned opinion about whether this could be worth it? Inc. is a very high authority site.

      I did, it goes to where you can sign and pay, but it doesn't take you to the directory, or say how to see it. No contact info listed to inquire.
