Squeeze VS Sales page

Hi Warriors!

Like the title says, what is the best way?
A sales page with maybe an optin form on the side/inline
OR
A squeeze page with a Video (or header) and a freebie for an optin?

Of course the main answer would be "it depends" on the quality of each one and the video, freebie, quality of email followups, etc.

However is there a "statistically" better method or it depends on the product?
Example: If it's a "stop hemoroids" (LOL) solution then would the visitor wait for the 2-3 days of follow-up before being given the offer?

I also know that going with a squeeze page I can't go to CB but it's ok for now - not an issue.

Your own experience and help would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks in advance!
Steve

I would say a squeeze page would be the best way to go especially if you have a quality product and a good freebie to offer for their email info. Building a list of the squeeze page will give them no way other than to enter their info to get the info as oppose to let them go to a sales page were they may or may not opt-in. By getting there info it gives you mutiple chances to sell to them rather than hoping they like your first product with the sales letter. Last, the most important thing in this business is your list. The bigger your list the more money you have the chance of making since once you have built your list you simple find good products related to your list type (weight loss, business, etc.) with a good affiliate program for you and send it to your list. Money!

Why can't you go with CB with a squeeze page?

Your marketing funnel should be squeeze page and then the sales page for maximum efficiency of your marketing efforts.

Why not build yourself a long term asset in the process???

Thanks all of you for your answers!

Like I said squeeze pages provide you with a list = long term customers.
However it's hard for me to imagine what else can you sell to people in a list for "hemorrhoid problems". Weight loss etc. is a different market I believe. You can't keep finding and selling (as affiliate this time) hemorrhoid products.
I mean, some lists are so diverse with only one unique problem that you couldn't find anything else to sell.

@Mike : Forgive my ignorance but how would you put a squeeze page on CB? I think people would be scared to promote a squeeze page. And from what I remember CB wants to see return policy etc.
THere was also another thread recently about affiliates being scared to promote something with an optin form, let alone a pure squeeze page. There is a code solution for tracking but still most people said they would stay away.

Can you give me an example of a pure squeeze page on CB?

    Thanks again !
