It's possible if you use that success to teach others how to make niche sites

No offense but that's just silly If you think even one niche site can't be used as a full time income source.

I kinda meant it as a joke that it's easier to teach and make money than actually do the work. But the links you posted are even funnier. The businesses were around before the internet

5HourEnergy is a tangible product and the website is an asset - not the original source, nor entirety of the business.

The brand was launched aggressively through trade shows, leading to shelf placement deals and a whole range of paper and screen media. The website was a strand that grew into an important asset through the efforts of brand recognition by pushing adverts of all forms and the actual product.

With the other list of companies in mind, you seemingly have digital product and / or affiliate sites confused with businesses in the real world where in-depth strategies, patents, mass marketing (customer & distribution), manufacturing, design and the meeting of heads is involved, sometimes long before a website is even considered.

It takes more than putting up a website and marketing on the Internet to establish companies of this form and magnitude and there is a gargantuan difference between a business that uses the Internet as a marketing channel and one that rest completely upon the Internet.

If anyone wants to follow in the footsteps of any of those companies listed, the first thing to do is buy a suit and a pair of Oxfords.

Yeah, I see your point but coaches are a dime a dozen nowadays. The market's super saturated.

Yes, it's possible. At it's peak my niche site network ran to 30 sites.

That's back when I was agonizing over each one.

Now, I have an easier content and traffic management system so ROI is way better.

I factor in stress level in ROI

I have online business niche and travel niche. Are you promoting affiliate products or are you a product vendor?

I am a full time working from home mom and focusing mainly in doing this online business.
Creating and focusing in one niche can give you an awesome income if you know how to build it correctly, also make sure to build your own customer data base as well as tapping to the highest converting quality traffic in the world which is google adwords.

Having one or 2 niches can give you an awesome amount each month but make sure to have different streams of income like membership site, selling your own product and other affiliate products related to your niche and run some CPA's offer.

    Hope this help

I own around 5 niche sites, but I am most profitable in 2 of them. But, I would like to clarify: I LOVE these niches! So I don't primarily work for the money; it just comes in.

I own 2 niche sites, one around IM and the other around health. I am more profitable on the former than on the latter. Also, my earnings on my IM website are quite enough for me to make a living.

I believe that I earn more on my IM site than on my health site because I devote much of my time on the former.

    One.

Took me a while to get there, but when you have the right site then you only need one (currently doing well into 6 figures a month).

    Good luck with your ventures.

Technically 3. But realistically 1. One of the sites brings in the vast majority of income while the other 2 kind of struggle. And, yes, the one doing well is in a niche that I am passionate about. It really does show.

I own 5, but my top site makes about 5 times as much as all the rest put together. You can make a full time living from just one, but usually you need to build a few to find that one winner.

Yes, it very possible to make a full living from niche sites. For me, I have 3 niche sites that are doing well. The most important thing is to target the right niche where there is a considerable amount of traffic with minimal competition and hungry buyers (those badly in need of your info or product that you sell or promote). These are key. So, it's not really about the numbers of niche sites.

I have a few such sites... but most importantly I have multiple income streams. Just don't depend on one or two sites!

I don't think it matters how many sites you owm. There si no definite right or wrong advice here. I personally own 2 sites and they make more than enough for me. I know tohers who own 6 or 7 sites and they don't even make a quater of what my 2 sites make.

My personal belief is to concentrate on one site only and develop that completely and put all my focus on it. Only after i have made that a success will i even think about moving on to create another site.
