I am on the lookout for any themes out there which have good conversion ratios for affiliate offers and at the same time can be used for various niches. Any help is appreciated. |

The theme you choose can have a big impact on AdSense conversion rates, but people aren't going to make a purchase through your affiliate link because they like your theme. Its the quality of your content and the trust you build up with your readers that is important.

I recently did a little blog theme survey of the Technorati top 100 blogs. There are some excellent layouts in there and some lousy ones. Seth Godin's is a simple looking Typepad theme. The most frequent similarity I saw was the 2-column style with the sidebar on the right. But the most obvious factor is content. If your content knocks the reader's socks off it doesn't really matter what you layout looks like. And if you content sucks, a fantastic layout won't do squat.

There really isn't one theme that works for everything and a lot of it has to do with content and what and how you are trying to sell. Quote:

For the sake of giving a response that is not so generalist, let's consider the exact same content on two different layouts. I think that way we will get closer to the answer he is looking for. I am currently experimenting with the heatmap adsense theme, as it gives you tons of customisation options an adsense modules. I have also come across the same theme waihon mentioned and I have to say it looks impressive enough that I will surely be buying it soon. I don't think it's any good to you if you want it for adsense though. This one is for sales letters, landing/squeeze pages, CPA... |

Have to say I agree that your content is far more important. Some of my themes look terrible but they convert well.
