Hi
Just wondering how much traffic will my website need (average) in order to get leads? Ie enquiries from potential customers who are real and not based in a call centre over in India lol.

It does not matter how much traffic you have to get a lead. Leads generally depends on your marketing content in your website and the places where you advertise your website.

Basically, if you post your ads on highly relevant sites to your own website, you'd have leads with just 10 uniques a day.

I think you should market your content and advertise online.

I would focus on conversions and quality of traffic rather than the sheer "amount" of traffic. You could send a ton of traffic to your site, but if it doesn't convert it's useless. Split testing can be very helpful.

I recommend the "quality" of the traffic than the "amount" of the traffic.

It will be depending on your conversion rate.

Lets say your conversion rate is 50%, you will need just 10 people in order to get your few first leads.

There is no average or way to measure this.
It's even harder to predict this without knowing your website, traffic, traffic sources, niches, quality, how you plan on monetizing, etc, etc

    can you share more details?

There is no legitimate answer to this question.

It is a matter of universal truth that the successful people
are the ones with all the right questions, not all the right answers.

You need to get to the point where you have better questions
if you hope to become successful. You only get to that point through
research (your question doesn't qualify as research) and failure.
You have to fail... probably repeatedly... before you will enjoy massive
    success.

So... the question you asked is your first (perhaps) failure. You have
failed to ask a question that can be answered to any degree of certainty.
The fact that others will try to answer is irrelevant. They're just trying
    to be helpful.

I'm not being a wise ass... I"m giving you the best possible advice
you can get at this point.

the amount of traffic does not determine the amount of leads you will get. the matters is your content, if you solve their problem by your content definitely they will give their emails in exchange.

This is like asking "How high is up?"

If it's a simple squeeze page offering something valuable and you have targeted traffic who have already shown an interest in the subject matter, then the conversion rate for leads could be pretty high. I've seen lead capture pages that convert as high as 70%.

If, on the other hand, you're trying to sell pork products and your audience is a bunch of vegetarians, you're not going to fare so well.

    Here's the definitive answer...

Bare minimum, 1 visitor per opt-in or phone call.

On average, you will need more than that, but the calculation requires a lot more information, including test data using your content and traffic streams.

I have a list of around 500 subscribers and I get sporadic sales. I also have a mentor who advises me that I need upwards of 2000 subscribers to get regular sales but if I want more money, the list would need to be around 10-15000. Hope this helps
