Affiliate marketing is very competitive. Most importantly choose a good offer. Sort the clickbank offers by highest gravity. The best way to market affiliate offers is to a list you own. If you have a list, then your subscribers already know and trust you. If you do not have a list then you should start building one.

Don't listen to anything the guy above me is telling you.

If you want to start making money as an affiliate, you first need to create your audience. When you have a group of people interested in whatever you're teaching (dog training, weight loss, etc.) and they are engaged and like your content, visit your site, read your blog... You can offer a product as an affiliate that you recommend to them that will make their life a little bit easier.

That is, if you go with the free traffic route.. Which you should anyway, since you're pretty much a newcomer and you're probably not ready to burn cash testing paid ads.

Oh, and build a list... You'll have multiple chances of closing the sale if you're consistent in delivering goodwill via your email autoresponder.

But don't just expect to get into Affiliate Marketing and earn $10,000.00 the next week.

ClickBank is a great place to promote your product or service. There's No problem with ClickBank because they're already there for quite awhile now. For you to start affiliate and internet marketing is to target your prospect customers. This is essential to get people to talk about your product or service. There are numerous ways to get to your target audience such as creating useful contents, sending emails, using different social media platforms, and building a credible website.

The very basic you need to know is how to find profitable niche that has low competition.
someone telling you here that you should select the product that has highest gravity. It doesn't mean that if you promote those product you can make a lot of sales also. but you are just competing with the big boys who promote those products. they are generating with paid traffic so you can't compete with them unless you have much knowledge in paid traffic generation.

2 Create your Landing page/Squeeze page related to the niche and product you want to promote. create 2-3 landing page and do split testing before you invest your time and effort sending traffic to your landing page. so why i tell you that you should create landing page? so that you can capture the emails of the interested visitor to your landing page and you can do email marketing and follow up emails to them. because most of the time people won't buy immediately.

3 register for an auto responder such as aweber, getresponce etc. set up your follow up email so everytime people optin in you landing page. they will emailed immediately and so on.

4. i suggest if you serious about affiliate marketing you must spend for paid traffic. because you have already the landing page and auto-resonder. you will building your list and making money at the same time... your list is your biggest asset in affiliate marketing.

2.Built a basic wordpress website ,use free blogger or WordPress in case u dont have funds. But if u have money to invest do take a .com
3.Buy some links from wf to rank it . In free blogger site go ahead try to post on forums and on social media .
4. I am sure u will make your first dollar.

One thing you will need to realize is that it takes money to make money. You will need to invest MONEY for marketing if you want to succeed.

I've found the best customers are buyers. I mean, if you have a list of people that have spent even a dollar on a product, they would be worth a hundred times more than a freebie seeker.

I know you're not a product creator, but it might be worthwhile getting a high value, low price product together, sell it for a buck and build a buyers list via JVZoo or something. Sending related affiliate offers to this audience will yield you far better results.

It could be as simple as getting PLR/MRR rights to a product and put your name on it.

Also, there's a very popular Udemy course out there detailing how to make money on ClickBank from Bing traffic.

Whatever your choice might be, you need to be with a group of people who think like you and most importantly, like and trust you.

My suggestions if you are a complete newbie are to:

1. Set up a blog about yourself with your name as domain name.

2. Share with the world who you are, what you do as your current job and how you get started online?

3. Then do a Google search for other blogs in your niche and comment in theirs.

4.. At the same time, go to forums like this one and make regular posts like I do in providing helpful tips for others.

5. You can also post classified ads in sites like Adlandpro, Adpost, Craiglist, Gumtree and US Free Ads promoting various Clickbank products.

6. You can also do a Facebook search as well for groups related to your niche. Introduce yourself and build a relationship with those people by providing helpful information like forums and blogs.

7. You can also write and submit articles to sites like Ezine Articles. Despite being dismissed by most marketers as old school, article marketing still works if done correctly.

8. Last but not least, you can also take, rewrite 5-10 articles and compiled into a free report. Then design a landing page with your report in it and offered to people for free with an affiliate link towards the end of that report.

But among all these, if you are still not making money or the amount you want, my final suggestion is to get a mentor.

1) Look for offers with high gravity and either a high payout or residual income.
2) Check out the sales page. If the sales page is not good, pass on promoting the offer.
3) Preferably see if it is in a niche that you know about.

4) Set up a site where you can publish interesting and engaging articles in that niche.

5)Add the pretty links plugin to your site. Add your affiliate link there so that the url is changed to make it look like it is part of your site. Use this new link in the call to action in your articles.

6) Create a facebook, twitter, linked in, pinterest, instagram and youtube profile. Also create a facebook page for your website and a channel for your youtube account.

7) Go to fiverr and get someone to set up an IFTT account for you linking these profiles to your blog. This way any time you post it will automatically go to these accounts and post there as well.

8) Start creating Youtube videos around related keywords. Optimize them for your keyword and always have a call to action leading back to your site where they can opt in to your autoresponder or to a review of the product on your site.

9) Add your website and a call to action to your signature here on warrior forum so every time you post people see your offer.

These nine steps are a good place to start. Treat your affiliate marketing business like any other successful business. Build a solid foundation.

There are many affiliate platforms. I suggest you research some of the others before you decide.

Look if there're products in clickbank regarding this topic to sell.

AND then build a list givin a good report, or audio, about that niche, in exchange of their email addresses.

Everyone who is saying build a list, is right on the money. The other thing you don't want to forget is also try places like warriorplus and jvzoo and part of your affiliate journey.

I suggest you put off building a list when starting out. Why? Because you're just starting out and probably don't have a clue about how to even put together a list. Also, in order to build a list, you will need an auto-responder like Aweber or GetResponse which will cost you a monthly fee, so it's something to consider when just starting out.

After choosing a Clickbank product, watch some YouTube videos about how to promote clickbank to get some ideas about which platform you want to use. Then choose just one of them, like Instagram. Don't try to promote on facebook, twitter, google+, pinterest, guest blogging, CPA, etc. You will get burned out, cave in, and quit. Just pick one and work it consistently for at least 30 - 60 days, then move on to another platform.

By this time you should have a few sales under your belt, and you can scale up your promotions with some paid advertising. This would be a good time to start thinking about list building.
