Hey again, I'm confused on the topic of getting Affiliates and how much to pay them? I see some of these programs on ClickBank that are paying 75% of their profits to an Affiliate. Is that too much, or is that what you SHOULD be paying Affiliates that promote your product? I'm planning on selling an eBook/package for either $27 or $47 (I haven't decided yet), and don't know how much to pay out once I use ClickBank. SS |

I know there are affiliates that won't even look at your product unless it's 75%. I'd say 50% is minimum and hopefully you're providing good marketing materials but 75% is probably best if you want more people...

I know that percentage may seem high, but it is the reality of the internet marketing world. You need to look especially at what others are doing in your niche in clickbank. I try to look at it this way, those are mainly sales I would never have gotten anyway, so the extra 25% in my pocket is nice, and it adds up! Matt |

I agree, at least 50%, course many people also look at how much, dollar amount, they will make off the sale. Matt has it, 25% you would not have had before and little work on your part. Before you do anything though, make sure you test your sales letter and make sure it converts well, BEFORE you go looking for affiliates. Big step few seem to think about. No matter how much you pay out, if the sales page doesn't convert, your not going to make money anyways, and you sure won't grow an affiliate base. |

Your best bet would be to increase the price of your product. For a lot of affiliates, it's not even worth their time to promote a $27 product because the best they can hope for (from Clickbank) is around $20. Why not take that same information you have and convert into different formats? Host a teleseminar, record a PowerPoint presentation, give mind maps and flow charts, provide a step by step checklist for people to follow, create a continuity program etc. By doing that, you can charge so much more than you could for a simply eBook, no matter how great the content is. And if you can charge more, you can give affiliates more. And if you can give affiliates more... I think you catch my drift. All the best, Jesse Kemmerer |

I don't mean to be too blunt, but have any of you ever actually sold an ebook? The money ain't in the front end sale, it's in the affiliate links and backend sales inside the book. Sheesh man, give your affiliates 90% of the front end sale and place some good links inside your book that will make you twice as much money... that is how the "heavies" do it. AL |

Maybe try selling the ebook for $37 and give 70% or the full 75%. If you want affiliates you have to pay them! Even giving 75% doesn't gaurantee you will get affiliates. You have to find them. Mike |

If you decide you want to keep your product at a low and more affordable price then maybe consider actually giving away 100% commission to attract affiliates and build a list as a result (The Money is in the list) and then you can make your money with this list your affiliates will create for you by promoting other products to it. |

You are actually not selling an ebook. That should not be your business model. What you are doing is building a list of buyers. You then have the opportunity to promote yourself and affiliateproducts to this list in the future. Basically you are getting paid to build a list of buyers. Give the affiliates 75 % + an extra upsell commission if that is possible. Your goal here is to build a list of buyers, and not to make money from the eBook in itself. When your ebook part 2 comes out you mail out to the previous buyers you only made 6 dollars from each. This time you get the full commission. |

50% is the minimum, so go from there. There is no "standard" figure that is made abt commision, so choose on our own self On the other hand, Who said that its wrong biz plan to make money out of the front end sale.. If you ask me, wherever you can make the sale.. just take it.. Dont lose the opportunity p/s- there are many heavies who main income is derived from front end sales too. So, that is not exactly true that heavyweights only make money from back end sales. B For me, front end sales are my main, and backend sales are extra bonuses. |
