MS Word Ebook Template?

I am starting to work on my first ebook project. I have been doing all of my background research and gathering all of my data to get down to the writing part which I am most excited about.

I have been searching online for a MS Word Template for an ebook. I have purchased one set but it was not what I was expecting at all.

Does anyone have an already made ebook template or template set that they give away or use as PLR that they would not mind sharing... or perhaps even selling for a nominal fee?

    What exactly are you looking for as a template? Are you looking at a basic template which covers headers, footers, table of contents etc, or are you looking at a template with a design element

      Yeah ... I am looking for a fairly generic type ebook template that I can use in MS Word that has the header and footers ... and has the look and feel of a publication rather than just a high school book report or manuscript.

      I have heard of some templates that even have some way to self-create the table of contents for you as you type in the titles it automatically populates that information too ... but I don't necessarily need anything that fancy .. just something professional.

      I will be marketing this to a niche market of professionals with masters and doctorate degrees, unrelated to the IM or marketing field, so really trying to stay away from the high sales pitchy type look and wanting something that is polished if possible.

        You don't need a template, because everything you need is in word.

        View

        headers and footers

        You can then edit them to include everything you need. Make sure you put a page number on it as well.

        Table of Contents this can be done automatically.

        When you start to type your book, you will see that the default of normal is used. You can then highlight the chapter names and change to heading 1.

        If you use these, when you finish typing the book go to Insert, Reference, Table of Contents and it will automatically add in the table of contents including the page numbers

    I would suggest going out and picking up a few cheap PLR ebooks that include the content in a word document. That way you will have everything there in front of you and you can take what you like from each.

    Bev -- I don't think you understand the type of template I am talking about ... I am not talking about just simplying formatting a Word document. I am quite proficient in Word already. This is something well beyond simple formatting techniques.

    I did not think about looking at my current PLR ebooks library just for formatting ... hmmm.. interesting ... will check into that too.
