What to do with a small budget???

by Andrew Hurst 23 replies
I make about $20 to $30 extra a day that I can use for marketing or whatever. What would be the best use of that money? Invest in advertising? Solo ads to build a list? Facebook marketing? Put it under my bed? If I advertise anything it would be affiliate products/services.

    1. Buy Clickfunnels
    2. Find a product to promote
    3. Build your funnel around that product
    4. make sure to do a 7-10 day follow up scritp for the people who did not buy
    5. create facebook ads about your product
    6. re target your ads for the people who did not buy (if you are an affiliate then make sure to get your pixel on the vendors thank you page and sales page)
    7. split test ads and landing page variations

start your FB budget at $10 a day. then once you start to see sales and what slit test are working you can increase your spending.

This will help you build a list in the process as well. You can also do the above but instead of FB ads you could do solo ads...but those cost quite a bit for good providers.

This is awesome! I'm going to move forward on this immediately!!! I'm not sure how to do retargeting. I'm guessing I can learn more about it here on the WF. Thanks again for your guidance

Yup... pretty much what he said. The only thing I would add is to maybe research how to do some of this stuff before you plunked down your money. There's definitely a learning curve involved.

It might be a good idea to get Russell Brunson's DotComSecrets book. It will explain a lot of what you'd need to know. Also, Ryan Deiss' book, The Invisible Selling Machine.

      Good luck!

I'm assuming you already have the basic website and hosting and all that. If you are looking for an easy funnel builder, invest in optimize press and some better equipment to list build and get things rolling that way. Then when you want to promote you can do so to your list without continually depending on fb ads to fuel every promotion.

The money is in the list, i've heard it so many times. I guess I'm afraid of how a list would react to me. Irrational fear that I need to get over!

It is not so much about the money but the effort you are willing to put in.

It is very important to have a working system before you do any promotion or you'll end up wondering what went wrong.

What type of system should you build? I suggest creating around 7-10 pieces of content for your brand with each piece tailored to help your prospect solve their problems.

From there, you can start promoting a product or a service. You can promote affiliate products at the beginning and work towards selling your own product or services.

Then, it is a matter of scaling later on. You can advertise using FB ads or in communities where your target market is active in. But since the system is intact, conversions will be higher.

I think this is better than just throwing your money away in endless testing. Without a good system, you'll hardly have money coming in.

This is excellent advice. I'm working on a website for that purpose right now. It will be about helping people win. A win with Andrew kind of idea where I'll provide information and encouragement to help people win in various areas of their lives.

I agree. It's not about the money, but the idea and effort. Once you implement these three you add persistence and you're on a good way to success. Good luck!

I'd take that money and put up $10 on Facebook Ads and then scale up the profits.

. Think about what you have that other people don't and demonstrate it in multiple pieces of content (not just in 1 salespage).
One of the best way to go about it is to show your target audience through survey forms. This way, you'll find it easier to identify and work on their needs.

If you ran an ad for that kind of budget on FB or Adwords for a few days you would not reach more than 5-6,000 people. To maximize your results you would need to run A/B tests, which you cannot afford. Here's a suggestion. It's really unique but it's right in line with your budget and may actually be a lot of fun for you to implement and for those that see your ads. I would suggest you to use ad games in your ad campaigns. Ad games are highly interactive and engaging. They have proven to increase engagement by 800% and decrease CPC by 70%. A really good quality tool to create these is Gamewheel. The setup is easy. You do not need any programming or game design knowledge. It is really easy to add to your campaigns. The first 2000 clicks are free. Gamewheel reaches and avg 10% CTR. With ad games you can reach your audience in a really cool way. You'll get more engagement than using banner ads or video ads. You can test it out and see how it works for you. Check them out and see if it's something that interests you. Hope that helps.

    Hi Andrew,

Earning $20 to $30 extra a day is absolutely not a small thing, investing this kind of money everyday will definitely bring huge profits in internet marketing. Best thing is go for PPC and facebook is good in this, there are many but start with good and cheap source. Set an advertising budget of 25$ a day.

If you know to optimize your FB campaign you can get click for just 0.1$ whic is pretty descent for a very good traffic source like facebook.

So for 25$ you may get approximately of 250 visitors, which pretty descent. Definitely at the time when you have reached 1000 visitors you will see some results.

Don't forget re-targeting, put the facebook re-targeting pixel in your webpage or landing page, by re-targeting you can get really really cheap clicks .

I hope my information would help you.
