Default Internet Marketing for us newbees

You know I have been struggling with internet marketing for close on 6 months and yet feel I haven't achieved a thing except learnt an awful lot.
Also spent a lot to. What I needed was some complete package that would walk me through it teaching me step by step. My computer skills are probably above average but the comlexity of the beast was getting me down.
However just to let you know I have found a system whereby all my needs are met and am now plodding along quite nicely. My seventeen year old son Chris is also into it and is way ahead of me but the old Tortoise and the Hare analogy comes to mind. I might be a bit slower but I am now confident at what I'm doing and where I'm heading. If someone wants to know how to get hold of this system please ask.
I'm not sure what I can put on this forum as have only joined tonight.
Bit new at forums in general actually. Don't even know if anyone will read this.
Regards
Russell (Brushtale)

Stop learning and start acting, as long as you continue your learning, you will always be a learner. Stop learning and put what you leaned in to action to be an earner.

I would suggest that you start doing article marketing and stick to it until you see results. Don't stop unless, earth quakes.

Hi Tom
Yes thanks but I think I've found one and am going to stick with it as it is the best I've seen.
I originally started internet marketing to push my Sheepskin and Possum manufacturing business but have found I needed to really learn so much so have decided to play with IM through helping others to build a business online. Eventually I will take those skills back to my business Possum Pam NZ Ltd.
By the way we have possums here in New Zealand that are quite different to the American possum and in fact have a coat similar to that of the mink. They have a fluffy tail hence my username "brushtale"

I suggest stuck with what you know at this stage and do more productive work with this. See how far you get if you start putting in some more productive work. If you see you are lacking in some area, put a little time aside to learn that.

I'm quite new at this too. I'm really concerned about my dollar spent on bad ads...

From what I've read and what I'm gonna do is subscribe to google analytics (highly recommended from a couple sources so you know what ads are popular)

I was also advised by a couple sources to try seoquake for mozilla firefox...if you use firefox this tracks page rank, stats, and more stuff than I know about.

I think most people learn from trial and error. At least there are tools to use to spare too much financial loss.

they are both free...let me know if this helps????

Hi Russell!

You sound like you now have a plan of action - great!

Discovering "what to do & how to do it" is very exciting. After that, your success depends on you having the correct mindset, finding the time to put these things into action, having plenty of determination.

No doubt, you will have some bad days and meet plenty of obstacles. But just pick yourself up and get going again - it's all about persistance.

I wish you all the luck in the world!

Elaine

I have found that taking action is the key, it's no good knowing what you should do and not doing it.

Hi Brushtale,

One thing is for certain is that you have to commit to something that you are passionate about and stick with it. There will be times when you will second guess yourself and those are the times you will find yourself cheating, let alone being unfaithful to yourself.

To identify that moment is quite simple. It is when you pull out your credit card and purchase another person's hyped up program, instead of getting or producing something that you really need for your business like an attention grabbing squeeze page or a traffic generating marketing system.

You can make money with your passions. You just have to believe that you deserve to make money with them. Generally speaking Traffic + Conversion = Money, better yet: Marketing, Traffic, Marketing, Conversion, Marketing, Money, Marketing, Marketing, Marketing..... Look for the common denominator, "Marketing" and do, do, do and do, do do again.

Russell,
You have gotten great advise from the Warriors already and with your son as a buddy-learner you are in great shape.
Now, may I suggest that you consider enrolling in a coaching program also? A mentor will charge you, of course, but you can benefit from saving time by avoiding the wrong ways one can get into when going solo and you will get the broad picture in a clearer way.

Regards,
Jose
