Do you have Internet Marketing OCD?

I have a lot of different obsessive compulsive habits, and I'm sure I'm not alone. I'm an avid list writer and incredibly systematic at everything I do. I don't like unexpected things to throw my day out of whack. I will literally work from the time I get up to the time I go to sleep because if I'm not following my system, I get really restless. I don't like to leave the house during the day, because it completely throws my entire day off. It's like if you throw a wrench into the cogs, I start to mentally panic.

Lately money has been a bit tight, so I started offering outsourced IM services (manual article submission, manual directory submission, manual social bookmarking, ect.) (not here on WF btw). I've noticed that it really bothers me every time I get an order. Not like the work is hard to do, as we all know. It's just that I'm so customer focused that as soon as I get an order I'll drop whatever I'm doing to fill the order. Ironically, doing that seems to throw a wrench into the cogs and I have a hard time getting back on track after I've finished the order. It's starting to bother me so much I'm actually considering just getting a normal job. My mind can systematically cope with working around a job, because it's a set deal. My mind can't systematically cope with having to drop what I'm doing and pick it back up again at sparadic points throughout the day. And I never really know when an order is going to come in. I guess the question is, is anyone else wierd like me? :p

Does anyone else have strange obsessive ways, methods, quirks about internet marketing in general?

Sounds like Asperger's Syndrome. You sure it's OCD?

lol Yeah, I'm sure. I was actually planning to go out and have a beer with my friends if I get done with all of my work today. I don't mind social situations. I'm just not inclined to venture out when it messes with my work.

Plus, those were just two of my issues. I alphabetize everything. If I can't alphabetize, I put things in order of numbers. If I can't do that, it's in order of size. If I can't do that, it's in order of the first letter of whatever the color of the object is.

When I eat, I'll only eat one thing on my plate at a time.

When I sit down, everything in front of me has to be properly aligned. Pencils have to be straight, any square objects have to be perfectly aligned with the table.

If I'm drinking and watching television (which luckily I rarely do), if a certain word is said, I'll have to take 3 drinks.

There are a few more, but I think you get the point. :p

Haha I went and googled Asperger's syndrome. I think I might have that too. I have 4 of the symptoms. XD

Can you set up a specific time to work on new orders every day?

For example, do whatever you want from 9am-3pm, and then focus on new orders within 3pm - 5pm or whatever?

As long as you're clear on the deadlines with the customers, I'm sure they won't care if it's not absolutely immediate. I think you still have plenty of room for overdelivery.
