There is always a good reason for supplementing your income. Having that additional cash every month makes it much offers more financial freedom and less stress.

Many people today are starting up their own business online to bring in extra money every month via affiliate marketing.

These entrepreneurs can capitalize on their free time and spend more time enjoying life and pursuing their passions rather than slaving away at a regular day job.

However, just as there are nearly uncountable ways to earn money online, you need to pick the strategy that is right for you, your schedule, and resource constraints.

Here is a brief rundown of the most effective strategies for building a $100/day business online:

Options 1: Youtube

Believe it or not, the earning potential of Youtube is still largely untapped by online marketing. The earning potential is vast though due to the fact that YouTube is #2 in video searches world wide, and #3 most accessed website in the world.

Furthermore, generating traffic could not be easier.

Related videos, search, tags, and many more options on Youtube give you more freedom to direct Youtube viewers offsite to affiliate offers and landing pages, which is where you money comes from in affiliate marketing.

This is especially effective if you build a call to action for your viewers into each video, and your clicks link through from engaged viewers almost by themselves.

There are a few pros and cons to consider when deciding if a Youtube Channel is right for you though:

Pros
-Views are better at generating site traffic thanks to your instant access to Youtubes massive worldwide audience.
-SEO friendly videos top Google search results regularly.
-Using cards and annotations in videos makes redirecting to a landing or sales page a snap.

Cons
-You need to be extremely comfortable talking on camera.
-Generating content and building a subscriber base can be very time consuming.
-Successful Youtubers know that regular content updates are essential to their success. Creating and maintaining a set posting schedule is a must.

Why is Youtube so great for affiliate marketing?
Even though Youtube is a massive force to reckoned with online, competition for subscribers is significantly lower than competing for blog followers and website subscribers.

With over a billion websites as of 2014 to compete with, Youtube has roughly 500 million channels with perhaps 1 of every ten being monetized.

There is little not no web developing knowledge or experience necessary to start a channel, and you don't need to buy a domain or learn complex marketing techniques.

All you really need is a decent quality webcam and an inexpensive microphone to get started.

In fact, many mobile smart phones available today can do an excellent job if you are just starting out.

How does this make you money?
Selling ad space is a great way to generate earnings, especially for viral videos.

Many channel managers earn as much $2 per 1,000 views. It is also ready-made for affiliate marketing if you create a lot of key-word focused informational videos.

All you have to do is redirect to a sales or landing site for leads, and those commissions will start rolling in. Many affiliate marketing programs pay up to $35/sale based on click-throughs from your videos that converted to sales.

That means with just three sales per day you can hit that $100/day mark. Last but not least, direct marketing via Youtube allows you to create and sell your own products to your subscribers by creating subscriber lists.

All business needs to scale up from there is fresh content and more subscribers.

Option 2: Niche Products

The fastest way to earn money online is to first create a product that meets a specific area of need (niche) for your target market, and then start monetizing.

The trick is not to do your own direct marketing of said product via blogging, social media, or even Youtube.

Instead, you identify and reach out to the influencers in the industry or market for your product.

Its easy to get influencers to try and hawk your product for you if you give create a nice affiliate marketing program for them to take advantage of, too.

Even with a group 1-3 influencers, you can earn money rapidly and continue to grow your customer base with an pre-built audience.

Pros
-This method doesn't require much traffic to hit your $100/day mark, and you can even establish recurring revenue via monthly billing for your product or service.

-Affiliates promote your product thanks to the kickback you offer them, allowing you to generate traffic and sales without developing your own audience first.

-There are numerous tools that allow you to quickly and easily send and receive payment and deliver products.

Cons
-Coming up with the right niche product can be extremely difficult if you dont code or design software or apps.

-Recruiting your affiliates among influencers can be tough at first, especially if you are not well known.

-Mastery of multiple marketing skills is necessary to really strike it big with this method.

Why Choose This Method?
-With just a small group of true believers among affiliates you can gain massive exposure and generate sales.

-All buyers immediately help you establish a larger customer base, and you now have an audience to market to direct in the future.

-Building a blog as a part of your sales page can help grow an authority site on top of the product information page.

How This Method Makes You Money
The products and services you offer are going to be the largest chunk of your revenue.

Instead of having to expensively market your product directly, affiliates will sell products for you and increase both sales and conversions with less work and expense involved for you.

There is obviously much more involved to this method that requires a lot of research and study, but these are the basics of earning through a niche product.

Option 3: Visual Niche Curation Sites

When it comes to making money and monetizing well, there are few examples better than Buzzfeed, ViralNova, Distractify and the like.

All of these sites make millions of dollars in revenue each year by collecting content and information from other sources and giving them a visual presentation format.

Listicles, quizzes, slideshows, and the like are all easy ways to draw millions of visitors to your affiliate and advertising site for very little money. This is easily one of the best ways to get to $100/day online in a very short time.

Pros
-Generating traffic is easy thanks to social media sharing.

-Since content is curated, you dont have to actually generate original content.

-Social media audiences become your oyster via both paid and organic channels.

Cons
-Faceooks reach via unpaid channels has been dropping steadily in recent years, which means you may end up having to pay to play.

-Market is somewhat saturated with similar sites, though many are of poorer quality than others.

-These sites dont really work well for an affiliate marketing model, and you need to generate massive amounts of traffic to make advertising space profitable.

Why Choose This Method?

In terms of ease of use for newcomers, this method is better for the camera shy or those who lack the ability to produce niche products and services.

You also don't need to be a marketing guru to make this model work for you, just build a Wordpress site, curate content from other sites like Reddit, and then spend a little cash on some Facebook ads to start sparking reader interest.

You also don't need to worry about constant site management, or the stress of running a site and fixing glitches all the time. Best of all, social media sharing handles all the marketing for you, and Facebook targeting ads are dirt cheap.

How This Method Makes You Money
Selling ads will be your primary source of revenue, after which come affiliate marketing links. Finally, niche products like private ads, caps, t-shirts, and other promotional materials for your sites adoring fans.

All you really need to do is work on raising the number of clicks from your site and click throughs to sponsors. All that remains is to keep building those clicks, and eventually you can scale up this business by increasing your ad spending and expanding your sites focus outside of your particular curation niche.

Conclusion
After all, there is no reason anyone cant learn how to use these methods effectively if they have sufficient free time and the desire to start making things happen in their lives.

I agree. But sometimes, you need to be on cam depending on the niche you are in. It's still a better way to engage with people. But of course, it's not compulsory!

While this is true, I do believe it helps if viewers actually see you in front of the camera. Gives off a more authentic and real feel, and probably increases conversions if you're promoting a product via YouTube.

Agreed. Iam not uncomfortable being on camera but for years when I first started I stayed away from YT because my mind and thoughts would freeze on camera and forgot what I was going to say. A lot of people just do audio with their voice and do power point presentations or just screen recordings. Which I find to be very effective.

The biggest CON for YouTube marketing (with free uploading of your videos and hoping for free search engine traffic) is that there is a chance for your videos to be deleted one day.

There were marketers who made great money with uploading and ranking their videos there and then one day, they were shut down.

That's why you can never rely on ONE single traffic source. Smart marketers use multiple streams of traffic.

Absolutely agree with it. Youtube shouldn't be the only traffic source, but it's a good starting point, especially when you're low on budget.
