Might start a subscription for products, do I need to tell companies I will be selling their items?

Thinking about starting a subscription based product, where I send out several random products to customers on subscription. Question, Do I need to have an agreement with those companies before I can send their product out? Assuming I paid for it at a store?

I know there are two methods of doing the subscription based service, 1) Paid- where you buy the products you want and 2) free- where products are given to you in a sample form.
I would like to do a hybrid of the two if possible

My genre of operation is Pets.

Thanks!

I would have thought it better to buy the items at wholesale prices from the manufacturer or supplier so you would normally have a commercial arrangement in place.

Many people do retail arbitrage where they buy stock on special in one location and sell in another and you wouldn't need any agreement to buy at a discounted retail or clearance and then resell somewhere else.
