I get PMs where I respond and then days go by before I get an answer. Usually it's because the sender doesn't visit regularly and doesn't see the notificaiton until the next time they log in. In case you don't know (and I'm sure plenty of you do -- so give me a break with your responses), you can turn on an option to receive PMs by email. http://www.warriorforum.com/profile.php?do=editoptions And go through the available options. |

I do that all the time. The emails may be the first time I know someone is trying to contact me on the forum, and its a very handy system to have.

Agreed. I hate this and run into it on many different forums. It annoys me |

I often miss PMs since they did away with the red bar in the middle of the screen at top. That was hard to miss. The little message in the top right is so small I usually don't notice it so I have taken to try to look at it frequently. I have had messages sit there for two or three days because I forgot to look. I wish we could get that red bar back again.

I use this feature not only for notifications on PM's but also for threads I want to track responses on. Extremely useful so I don't have spend every waking hour trolling this among other forums... just set it and forget it. This is why vBulletin is king of the forum platforms.

I leave my PM's turned off (except for Mods/Admins) because I hate having to check one more place for communications. Before doing so, a lot of folks would use it for product support and the WF is not a product support forum. Unfortunately, I'm not always able to get in here and answer them, so for me at least, I stick to email.
