Best System For Setting Up A Merchant Account?

Hi Warriors,

Looking for some alternative merchant account systems to CB...

I have heard of Rapid Action Profits, JV Manager, Delavo and PayDotCom...

I'm leaning towards the first 3 because PDC can be hard to work with, when considering refunds etc which makes affiliates wait very long to receive the payments.

Have read lots of good reviews for RAP, but I'm afraid of what might happen to my Paypal account if a slew of orders come in. And I think PP is kind of gray on the affiliates issue?

Does JV Manager or Delavo work with credit card payments and/or Paypal?

For the record... Paypal has no idea, one way or the other, if a payment is to an affiliate or the merchant.

They are well aware that merchants selling on the internet use their service, and obviously have no problem with affiliates except for multi-tiered payments (i.e. MLM).

RAP DOES support 2-tier affiliate programs, and PP once blocked my account when I began advertising that fact on my sales page.

Here's what I did to remedy the situation:

1. Removed the benefit bullet from my sales page, and
2. gave them a quick explanation that, although the system supports 2-tier programs, my own program was NOT 2-tier

That was enough. Paypal took my word for it, and didn't even try to verify whether my program was/was not 2-tier. Business was interrupted for about 2 hours.
