I've learned that traffic is very very very hard to come by

Traffic is relatively easy to get the problem a big majority have is with conversion rate. This is where you really need to know what you are doing.

Hi I would like to learn how to connect a landing page to a affiliate offer.

      Hi
In connecting a landing page to an affiliate offer, the "thank you page" method is a quick way to get started. Instead of leaving the "thank you page" as it is, insert your affiliate link on it...This is one very effective way of getting started. I hope this helps your question.

Thanks for the reply. How do you insert your affiliate link on it. Sorry I am a newbie.

I learned about how to properly make money with solo ads. Before, I thought I should just send people straight to an affiliate offer, but I learned it is better to pass them through a squeeze page first. Not only does it build your email list, it also generally results in more sales.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[11066230].message }}

Shams Sikder, you are quite correct, NEVER send traffic direct to a affiliate offer, always send to a squeeze page, collect the name and have your autoresponder send the customer directly to the affiliate offer, that way you are building your list and can then email them offers at a later date, but your first email from your autoresponder wants to send them BACK to the affiliate offer so that if they did not buy the first time, at least you are sending them back for a second chance!

do you find solo ads to still be a viable source for traffic?

arent those leads fatigued out of their minds with offers?

. . . and how do you know that every online business has only one problem?

There are some businesses where traffic is not a problem and there are many businesses that have multiple problems making your statement false in a lot of situations.

Agreed with Steve. There's way more than just traffic and conversion rate. Think AARRR (Acquisition, Activation, Revenue, Retention and Resurrection) for instance, each stage has a problem that need some TLC. Each business has some area of improvement in each of the above, it's just a matter of figuring out where to prioritise / focus.

Well this is not what i learn this week but as an internet marketer over few years which i think is important for newbie to know. Choose one online income method, stay focus with one method and persistent. Is not as easy as you think especially you are browsing through websites and forums people are sharing their success stories with different method of online income.

Use whatever you earned and invest in marketing campaign or software that help you boost your productivity or can help scale up your business.

Nah, getting traffic is easy. Getting profitable traffic can be trickier, especially if you plan to rely on free methods only.

If all you want is to make the traffic counter spin, just hint that you have images of some celebrity's naughty bits.

Getting free targeted traffic relies on other people/sites taking action on your behalf. Search traffic depends on not only getting your listing ranked high enough to see it, but also beating out all the other options on that results page.

Blog commenting depends on both the blog owner accepting your comment and other readers recognizing its value and clicking through.

Same with guest posting or its offline equivalent, submitting articles and/or press releases to offline publications. First you have to get past the blog owner or editor, then depend on people reading your stuff and clicking through to get more from you.

All of these methods, and many others like them, can and do work - if you have both the skill and patience to let them.

Paid traffic, be it pay-per-click, banner buys, print ads, classifieds, etc. can bring you all the traffic you can afford, quickly and reliably. But, again, there's a skill set involved. If you don't have either the skills or deep enough pockets, getting paid traffic that makes a profit can be hard.

The good news is that once you have the skills, traffic that converts can be very, very, very easy. And if you can run paid traffic that kicks back more than a dollar for every dollar you put in, it's better than free.

    Give that man a cigar!

I've been trying to convey this to people for years with very little success.

It's an investment, not an exspense.

The Power of Transformational Marketing: https://toprightpartners.com/people-2/

Dave Sutton is a global authority today on Transformational Marketing- enabling businesses to reach, connect and engage with customers in a way that gives them a reason to care, a reason to buy, a reason to advocate and, most important of all, a reason to stay.

How to Create a Compelling Six-Second Brand Story?

Your Strategy should be a clear path to reach your target audience with the right message, through the right channel, at the right time.Rapid growth of media and the rapid adoption of digital channels, consumers are hound with thousands of branded messages and stories every day.

Give people a reason to care, a reason to buy, and a reason to stay. People don't buy from making logical, rational buying decisions. They make emotional decisions and then justify those decisions by rationalizing them with facts.

The next step is to connect with your customers through channels that they use, across every touchpoint in the buyer's' journey.

Your customer is not only at the center of the story but also at the center of your strategy.

You have about six seconds to tell your brand story and make a connection with your customer.
"Good marketers tell brand stories; great marketers tell them with purpose."

    Difference Between "What" and "Why"
Most marketers focus on the "What" the product and its functionalities

customers are willing to know "Why"

"Why" should they listen to your story?
"Why" that product is so different than all the other options available
"Why" does it matter to them. For customers
    "Why" should a customer care?
"Why" should they listen to your story?

    1. Start with the Mind of the Customer
    2. Simplify a Complicated Issue or Problem
    3. Stir Emotion in the Consumer's Mind
    4. Be Memorable in Striking a Chord that Prompts an Internal Question
    5. Make your Customer the Hero of the Story[/B]

    Wish You Best of Luck

Have you made the money you are promising? $317.25 a day?

If not, the best thing to do, in my opinion, is to take it all down and do something honest that can really help people with a valuable product or service.

Not trying to be mean but it's the truth.

Here is my landing page : Totalmarketing news
Basically I have a landing page ---> thank you page ------>OTO
The landing page will let me obtain the email address of the customer (opt in box)
Now my coach said that we have to have a gift or a free product so the customer get into the
Landing page fro know i am using his webinar as a gift
1 How can I create or get a free product I can offer?
2 The OTO I am offering is the training I am in (it is kind of expensive ) should I try to find a less expensive OTO ? if so should I try to go warrior + vault to get one ?
3 Are there any simpler funnels I should use?
4 The way I keep offering products is through my e-mail list, are these products the same kind as the OTO or are they of a different type ?
Thank you guy for your comments

Thanks for your opinion it is not mean it is what I want to do but the truth is I do not know what to offer see at this point I just copy paste what my coach gave me , but my Idea is to be able offer products that really help people

But how will you know if it is helpful unles it has helped you?

For example, if you clicked on your own link and followed the directions you'd be able to make several hundred bucks a day. And if you were making several hundred bucks a day you wouldn't be asking these types of questions.

So, if you yourself click your own link you would still be lost.

The coaching you are getting isn't helping anyone but the coach. You are just his or her sales person.

We all have to start somewhere. But when we start by telling a lie or making up stats that aren't true and that we haven't done, our IM careers probably won't last long.

than again and actually that is the impression I have that I am being used so the coach gets more money.
the only thing is like you said I have to start somewhere.
There are many things that I still do not understand about this business
I will put the page down ..but then that bring me back to square one .
I will be more that happy to try something else.
I will appreciate any suggestions you can provide .
I want to believe I am here not fore the quick money but to really learn how to succeed in this business.
again I will appreciate any suggestions you or anybody can provide .

    I learned more about retargeting.

Yes I *thought* I knew what I wanted to achieve and how to do it.

I'd been retargeting people based on time on site but really hadn't segmented further than that.

I learned how to add people to lists and segment them via content they had viewed and how to build out these segmented lists via using one keyword in each "slug" so it could become a set and forget system of building the segmented list.

Each time you write some new content just include the keyword in your slug and you add future viewers to you segmented topic to a specific list

    For example.

If you include a specific keyword in your url you can leverage that to segment your list.

Sure it seems simple but unless you see how that functions inside of Facebook or adwords for a real situation you just don't realise what is really going on.

Couple that with some segmentation to the email list say by using Active Campaign and you can email and retarget very sweetly to put the right message in front of the interested prospect rather than sending a generic email and a generic ad.

    Simple but cool.

Add that to your wider targeted audience and you lower acquisition costs and also don't burnt out a prospect by sending the wrong message or wasting the pixel by not refining your ad to match the market.

Anyway that was one thing I picked up this week.

    Best regards,

    Ozi

Beginner here and yeah, trying to find and figure out a lot- For starters:
    1) Does anyone know a good CPA course that uses YouTube to promote network offers but don't necessarily have to make videos or use paid traffic?
    2) Anyone used CPA Ads Academy and (besides being ppc) is it a good place to start. Thanks
