Default Blog Commenting Questions

Is it worth it to outsource my blog commenting for backlinks? I don't have the time to look up blogs for my niche and then comment on them for backlinks. I currently am using social bookmarking through Ken's service, high page rank profile pages such as Angela's links, and some article marketing to get backlinks. Any other ideas to get my keywords ranked in the SERPS? I appreciate the help.

If they're working by the hour you could also tell them to check if the blog is open to guest posts... Guest posting will have a much bigger impact than just leaving a comment.

Point taken on that one. I don't need my agency getting a bad reputation. Any other link building that I need to do, or is this enough to get good rankings?

While it's true that blog commenting on blogs can get you lots of backlinks, they are of low value.

This is what I extracted at a SEO Strategist's site (Nicolas Prudhon, phd, SEO Strategist):

...These are the links most of the people work on building every day, these are very low worth links and are barely worth 5% of the value of a good link:
  • Directories
  • Comments on DoFollow Blogs
  • Forum Signature
  • Linking between your sites
  • Link Exchange

What is your strategy for getting "good links" then? I would be interested to hear.

Yes I think it is worth it. I use freelancers from many different sources. I pay as little as $.14 cents a comment and up to $30 an hour depending on the types of comments and the level of English and understanding of the topic the commenter needs.

Do blog comments hold much weight though? If not, what do people prefer rather then them. I like article marketing, but it is very time consuming to write the articles, then submit them.
