I'm insane, Ok Poor Newbies

Here's the story. I bought 2 domains earlier this year. They are dot infos and they are imanewbie.info and iamanewbie.info

I can install Wordpress on them in a matter of seconds. I can do joomla too and some other scripts, but I think WP will be easiest for some to tackle.

The domains were for another project, and the people they were offered to FAILED to follow through to even make one blog post. I have no plans to do anything with them. Too much time for me - I have enough to do.

I am willing to let some poor newbie blog on them. It will be their own blog that they get to set up and maintain. You would be using my hosting space, so there will be some rules. No illegal or porn crap. No black hat marketing techniques. You will need to get your own template and I believe the latest version will let you install a new theme and all the free plugins without having to FTP!

What are your advantages? Well, you get to enjoy the magical wonders of blogging with the wordpress cms. You can put adsense on the site, you can put affiliate links on the site, you can have a web address to direct your ezine articles to. You could maybe discuss your problems and what solutions you find. You can blog till your hearts content on the joys and defeats of being a newbie.

When these domains are ready to expire I will pass them off to you if you want. You will be responsible to pay for the renewal of the domain and get your own hosting at such time. You could also just choose to back up the blog and install the contents on your own domain and hosting. Or, just get the domain and add some forwarding to it. I really don't care.

So, how do you get your hands on doing this?

You need to post here in this thread why you think you should get to use the domain. I'm sure I should add some more hurdles here so my fellow more advanced warriors feel free to comment and jump in.

Anyway, I have no clue what to do with these and honestly when they expire I will just let them go.

I need your bleeding heart story, and I need to know WHAT YOUR PLAN IS WITH IT. There is no point in taking this if you don't have a plan. How would you monetize on the site? How will you drive traffic? Will this just be a journal?

Got ideas? Put them here. Not sure what to do? This forum is chock full of stuff to do with/on a wordpress blog.

Ok, so the .info is not the most "popular" choice in domains. So what. You can still use it. It is a real site and traffic can be pushed into it.

Take it or leave it.

If you are really broke yet inspired to do something then you will.

Oh, I will be visiting and checking to make sure nothing crazy is going on. If weeks go by and there is nothing going on, the blog may go poof. If I see an honest effort from someone who is trying to do something then I will let it ride.

You want it? You know what to do.

I will make a decision by Friday. Admin or others if this is inappropriate for some reason then just let me know.

PS: there are 2 possible "winners" in this as there are 2 blogs. I also reserve the right to withdraw the offer if no one fits the bill at any time or for what ever reason I see fit.

pps: I will take into consideration votes from other warriors as to who should get this if they have opinions.

ppps: I am on this forum every day at some point and will check this thread so newbies do not pm me. Leave your comments, questions and concerns here.

Am a newbie,since coming to this forum i have been following some of the tips posted by experience marketers in this forum.
I have started learning web design and also using some the tools obtained from here to do my keyword research.I have not started doing anything serious for now but i believe i have got something to offer if giving this opportunity your post presents.i will be glad if considered.

You are correct - some will not get it. Here is a quick story, I began on a free WP blog and was silly to put some affiliate links on it. Well, I bet you can guess what happened to it.

The advantage given here is someone can use this and not have to worry about putting links and adsense etc on their blog and getting in trouble for it. They can get up and going and really learn from this - and I can think of several ways myself to monetize. But the point is to remove the questions right off the bat of "what domain do I get, what host should I get, how do I install the blog" and give someone a chance to jump in and just start cranking out their own content. And here is a perfect example. Someone can say I'm a newbie and I would like to discuss what I am learning about web design or here are my questions about keyword research. Or, they can look up others answers on the web about it and give an answer they design. They can then use the information by submitting some articles and posts, and track all this to see what the results are. Basically they are given a platform to test and try things on their own while learning and like I said, they can build backlinks, drive traffic, and create a site that can be sold as was mentioned above - or they can move it and carry to their new host at the end and use it to create links to their new site.

It is just an opportunity to learn, and a possibility to make some money while doing it.

You CAN NOT put them on a free wordpress blog. They will do this to you:

LOL.

With blogger you can do adsense and some affiliate links (I believe), but it is different to manage from the back and you will be limited to what they offer for plugins,themes, etc.

Wordpress (dot org) gives almost unlimited options.

No. No links or reference to myself unless the person so desires. This is their site.

They would however have a link to add to their signature here on the WF as they would own the site.

There are a TON of folks here always willing to chime in and give advice on how to improve what ever it is they are doing.

If they create a free report or something and want to offer it to their readers, I WILL load it up to the host for them. Or if they created an html sales page they wanted to drive traffic to I would load that up as well.
