Semi-newbie looking for a way to start over

Probably best to get a job first. It's tough to build a website, put up content, build backlinks, and maintain an email list with no money. You need at least some capital to get started (the more, the better).

Also, anything involving affiliate marketing is going to take some time (months to years) for serious income to come through. At least that's how long it takes me and my friends.

Building a site out of desperation is NOT the best way to go about things. Definitely wanna have some money coming in FIRST.

Sucks, but it's the truth. That's what I did, and that's what many others on this forum did, too.

I'd find another way to make some money first, then look at getting into this one you have a solid foundation. Typically to get started it either takes time or money (or both) and by the sounds of it, neither is on your side (no offence, just reading your post)

So it's definitely possible to make a decent income online by promoting CPA products as this is free and you can choose good ones that really add value to people. You can honestly making a couple thousand dollars each month doing this.
This is what I've been doing and I use all FREE traffic methods. The key is to just always give good content and you'll never go wrong. You will need some bucks each month to maintain your list but if you're making money doing it then it''s not an issue.

So don't give up hope, you can do it man!

What you can do is get an autoresponder, have a landing page that leads to an affiliate offer, and then run solo ads through the landing page. This way, you will make sales on the affiliate offer, and you can also build your list. If you do this, make sure you get a solo ads provider that guarantees conversions, not just clicks. Anyone can get you a lot of clicks, but if you don't get conversions, there's no point. I've seen some pretty cheap solo ad prices that guarantee conversions, so if you're interested, you should do some research.

What Shams said BUT don't drive to affiliate landing page.. you most definitely should use and opt-in, leadcapture, page before sending traffic to the affiliate. Build that list!

I do sympathize with your situation.

However what I like you to know is that your situation is not much different from most newbies trying to start an online business.

Truth is, most people are ONLY thinking about making money online.

Which is the wrong way of thinking.

But I don't blame you because once I was once like that before.

Still what i want and need you to understand is that in order to make money whether it be from your online or offline business or even when you are in the job working for bosses, you need to DELIVER value first.

Now my answer might surprise you and some of you commenting in this thread.

For your info, I come from Southeast Asian island of Singapore. Not sure if you have friends living, studying and working there or whether any of them told you this before.

But our government places a lot of emphasize on delivering quality and value in all aspects of our lives since my country has no natural resources and hence relies heavily on ALL manpower.

Because doing so increases productivity

Whether it will be studies, army for guys, work, play and even dating and setting up families.

When I say delivering value, I am talking about treating others the way you like to be treated and doing what others tell you to do provided it is in the interest of the government and most people around you.

Including your families and friends.

You might be asking me Amuro, what are you talking about and what does this got to do with making money online?

My answer is just one word.

EVERYTHING

From start to finish.

Look at successful gurus like Anthony Robbins, Brian Tracy and Eben Pagan just to name a few.

What do they have in common?

They KNOW what to say and how to help others. Because they KNOW by doing so, they will make a positive difference to more people's lives and more people will come and invest in their programs.

Been studying them for the last 3-4 years in the process of building my online business even though I started in 2008.

With the same mindset and situation as you are right now.

What feels fun to you? Monetize that.

Monetizing streams need to feel fun too; if you still dig doing How to videos on YouTube, go for it. Amazing how many features YT is adding to videos to expand our presence and to help us prosper.

You can always start with free blogs and youtube.
Example: ask some1 in fiverr to create a good video u may pay them from $5 up to $15 for maybe 40 sec video. Now upload video on youtube and make sure u add keywords/tags to that video and description or should i say make sure u work on Title,Keyowrds and description for better site index.
Now apply for adsense and connect channel with your adsense account.
At the description box add your blogs free blogs u can create many with spending anything. Work hard on getting that video on first page of YouTube
by talking about same subject on other sites or forums linking back to your youtube video, work also on video comments always related to your video.
Now your youtube video will bring you income maybe not much at the beginning but also will bring you SUBSCRIBERS, the more subs u get the more video views and traffic to your blog u will get.
Also add to your blog more then adsense ads. Like Peerfly,u got maxbounty ads,clickbank and many more that works so in your blog add more then 1 advertisement and work on traffic only till u get maybe 1K YOUTUBE subs then u can upload more videos.
This want happen in 1 day but you need to build blog links and audience.

Well the time when you PPD with its almost gone .Now you must start affiliate marketing and cpa etc .First you wont have problems on youtube marketing and they pay more that ppd

Hi Chris Gm, Basically I want to be clear with you. Building ang internet business takes time to become successful, you need perseverance and dedication on it.

First tip for you.

You should know who are the people that you are going to serve so that you can help them, If you can't do it, you can't imagine who is your customer avatar, you can't imagine how your products can help them.

Doing business is solving peoples problem so that their life will become more enjoyable.

I will give you an example, let's say you have a product for weight loss, you must find the people who want to lose weight so that you can help them.

Whatever the products you are selling, it maybe video, ebook or physical products.

Come to think of it, the Value of your products that can help to your customers.

Start BUILD A LIST.

An email list, and then u can use it for cpa, for affiliate marketing.

If u can do ppd you maybe can make some video to build a list, pointing it to an opt in page.

...and then u can have an asset which is constantly growing day by day

IM will be here for a long time. Definitely by the time you get out, get a regular job, and slowly invest some money here and there to get this going. And work this stuff in your off hours.
