Any idea of how much a domain like this is worth? Is Flippa the best place to sell it?

Depends on if it's a working site, current earnings, recent traffic graph and source, domain trust, backlinks etc. Obviously, there needs to be a niche demand.
Other than Flippa you may consider SEDO, AfterNic, freemarket & WebsiteBroker.

If you ask about domain, it is of zero value

Did you buy it from someone else or register it yourself? How much did you pay for it? What have you done to increase the value of it?

I visited the domain and it looks like the last story was posted 5 years ago and has nothing to do with dating. You don't even have any ads on it to generate income.

I can offer you a professional valuation.

A few weeks ago, I found myself on holiday. Lovely tropical island. The kind of holiday destination you'd expect, really: sand, sea, palm trees, nymphomaniac primates predisposed to alcoholism, football, and interludes of buggery. Well, whilst holidaying on said island, I happened upon one of the hairy denizon. I'd been having a pleasant evening stroll along the beach, taking in the grand vista, enjoying the sea air, listening to an audio book about internet marketing by John somebody-or-other, you know, relaxing, having a laugh, bit of pleasant laughter-induced pants wetting cooling me down after the hot day, and up ahead my eyes fell upon something, well, something curious. In the middle of a regular, rather commonplace evening, there it was: a capuchin monkey was sat in the sand, a paintbrush in one hairy hand, and before him sat an easel, and on the easel a painting. I approached and stood beside the hairy capuchin artist, and no sooner had I done so, the hairy capuchin artist entreated me to purchase the painting. It was a painting that depicted his nether regions.

Your domain has roughly the same value.

    Sorry.

      No, you can't.

OP - To the right sucker it might be worth millions. I've seen people get really stupid over domains.

As always, Brent, I bow to your superior knowledge. Yet again, you have displayed a level of intellect that would make the likes of Hawking, Einstein, Galileo, and even Vin Diesel feel like mere primates in your presence. I bow, Sir, bow, but not merely bow, no no. I cast my unworthy body at your feet and I implore you to forgive my foolish utterance. If only I could have your knowledge! If only I could give such sage advice!

dating4noobs sounds like a how-to on dating which could be valuable but the stories on there seem more like tabloid gossip of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber and who's dating who than actual stuff of substance

As with everything, your domain is worth precisely what someone is willing to pay for it. Determine the amount you would like to get, list it for sale and see what happens. The worse that can happen is you will be (predictably) disappointed and will have to lower your price.

No one, here can tell you what your domain is worth unless they are willing to PayPal you that amount to have it transferred.

    Thank you.

A domain itself with no content, no revenue history and no mailing list is worth whatever someone is willing to pay...

It is a lot like art....

Some people see a painting as a masterpiece worth millions... Others see it as a cube on a canvas that can be painted by child...

According to Estibot.com, your domain is worth $0...

if you are talking only about the domain it cost you around $10-12..
but if you are talking about the whole running site. it depends on the site quality.

    Herein lies the truth.

PT Barnum is quoted as saying there's a sucker born every minute. And all you need is one.

The Paypal transfer will tell you exactly how much it's worth.

Please ignore (and forgive) the silliness that follows, Sir Brent. I am only flesh and blood and doughnut crumbs, after all. A mere mortal.

    OP . . .

The value of something is the price that someone is willing to pay for it. As such, your domain could be worth any figure.

    However.

The reality is different: the domain has zero value in the open market, less value even than a painting of a primate's testicles, when we consider the domain valuation metrics.

The best hope you have of finding a buyer:

    1. WF.
    2. Other IM forums.
    3. FB Domain groups.
    4. NamePros.
    5. DNForum.
    6. Flippa.

It is a slim hope, though, since other professional domainers will give you the same value assessment.

You can only hope that someone sees the name and thinks, "PERFECT!"

As I say, though - slim hope.

    - Tom

P.S: Sir Brent: thank you for noticing me. It always makes me feel special. x

If you believe we came from apes, a painting of this primate's breathtaking shorn scrotum would be priceless.... :-)

If it is just the domain, it is probably not worth much as a name.

If you wanted to create a dating guide it might help, but I don't think the domain name itself is very sought after. It is a catchy domain, the type people would usually want, but just not a huge demand for it I would say.
